Voice chat in free-roam annoys PC players?

Maybe it's just bad luck, but every time anyone starts using the built-in voice chat in free-roam people usually yell "shut the F up" or make random noises to talk-over you. Some guy said "Guys! Seriously! Get teamspeak!"

 

This was after I was telling someone the difference between Insurgent models, so like a 1 minute conversation.

 

I thought Xbox One was bad with all the adolescents on there, but my experience with PC so far is that xbox users are wonderful by comparison.

I don't want to hear anyone when doing freeroam. But then you can set your chat to 'nobody' or 'friends only'. So anyone shouting that you should shut up is a douchebag.

If you either a squeaker (which legally isn't allowed the game), just spamming voice chat or talking to a friend in the game like you do on skype (full blown conversations). Then people will tell you to shut up.

 

I've never come across a free mode lobby where someone actually has some decent input or is trying to help someone. Hence why most people across all platforms will tell you to stfu. However if you're helping someone and/or is none of the above, then they're a douche.

I presume they're older, more mature therefore more civil.

just tell them if they do not want to hear you then they need to learn how to use the mute feature.

I don't wanna hear nothing but the game.
I could do with a whole lot less lester too.

 

 

I would say; as a PC gamer but not owning V yet, type has always been preferred on PC. I can imagine not a lot of people are going to like it. it's just a different way.

 

And yeah, get teamspeak on PC. it's worth it.

Teamspeak is great if you want to play with specific people. Exactly like xbox party chat, but not as transparent to use.

 

Personally, I hate quiet free-roam sessions.

I don't want to hear two people having an on-going conversation, but I do like to hear people react to what's happening.

 

The social (second life-ish) aspect of this game is what makes it playable for so long.

I've played online frequently since release and I've encountered no problems with players. Lots of people willing to talk, and those without a microphone type on-screen. One guy got a little annoyed by the voices and I simply told him how to mute players. He didn't respond, and that was that. Hell, on that note, far less players shoot on sight on PC. Because so many people have microphones and can type, it's far easier to communicate and the microphone clarity is so much better than console headsets.

I think you misread the way I used that word my friend, The word Retarded was used because, well People who Use Autism as a insult Might as well just use Cancer as a insult, both are wrong and ignorant. PPS, When on the Fleca bank job Lester mentioned the fact that you don't talk means you're professional, otherwise it kind of puts on the "spectrum" he's referring to Autism Spectrum - and those people don't socialize.

Depends on who you ask mate, Some people use the just the autism spectrum, some don't, the move to just the Autism Spectrum didn't go over to well with a lot of people. My point still stands however. OT: I understand the the reason people use teamspeak, but the game has a "Game Chat" for a f*cking reason people.

Except "retarded" is not a synonym for people who are ignorant or stupid, it's a medical term for people who have a legitimate mental disability. You're falling into the same category as people who use autism as a simplified insult.

Ironically your wrong about the medical term as their is a push to move away from the use of the term, and the medical term is "mental Retardation" and the depending way you use just the word Retard it can have many different meanings, so from my English teacher's stand point (and yes Someone in my English class last year got out of trouble due to the meaning of the word "Retard" in the way he used it) your ironically both wrong and right at the time. Just like how I got out of trouble for saying bi*ch in class, I used in the form the the term for a female dog, it's all about the way you use the word my friend.
