Transfer question regarding returning players

A friend of mine might start playing GTA Online on PS4, but he's got a hard-on for the Dukes and might want to get all that other stuff that returning players get, too. I have the game on both PS3 and PS4. So, is it possible for him to create his character on my PS3, then simply transfer it using my PS4 as well? If so, are there any risks of repercussions for either of us, since he won't really be a returning player (i.e., won't have purchased the game twice)

it's worth a try. highly doubt anything bad happens either. it's tied to your social club profile, so he just needs to have played the game on ps3 then when he gets ps4 follows the transfer process.

 

may not work, may be linked to date played? maybe you have to have had played prior to launch of xb1/ps4 version?

It's worth a try, it'd be the only way it could happen...otherwise he's sh*t out of luck...

 

...well, maybe for a year or so until everything is unlocked for all, because that's usually how content like that goes
