stealing tanks

I would like to hear about situations where you have successfully stolen another players tank (or other Pegasus vehicles) and caused some mayhem.

apparently , pegasus will reclaim the stolen tank which kick you from the tank after you getting a warning message

even if the tank is intact , you still cannot enter the tank nor the owner ( unless the owner re-call another tank )

The mugger is the best tank theif, nothing pissed off a Twanker more than losing their tank and being exposed as the useless on-foot player they really are as they're being revenge-spawn-killed

Caused some mayhem? Yeah, if sitting in a tank for 5 seconds then being forced out of it causes mayhem, I guess you could say so.

what do you mean get kicked out in 5 seconds? yesterday i killed some dude by the movie theatre while he was getting his tank so then i stole it & killed him another 5 times or so before someone else in a different tank blew me up.

if im really bored i some times get in passive mode, then grab my tank, insurgent, hydra, savage or technical, and then hand it over to a low level and watch the chaos..

If you go far enough away from them, pegasus reclaims it. You likely didn't go beyond that threshold.

Tanks are great ways to troll the griefing scrubs. Stalk them in passive, blast em, run, passive again. Keep your eyes open and you'll see a mugger coming from forever away, particularly if you stick to areas where AI don't typically just run to.

 

I know your K/D is precious to you, but you should try fair fights some time, before you start complaining about twankers :^)

the other day i spawned near the tank spawnpoint at the teather...

 

there was a tank, the owner was getting close, so i quickly sniped him and stole the tank.

 

then proceed to spawnkill him.

 

in the past i used the mugger to steal tanks, but now the mugger have been dumbed down, can barely get a person out.

Tried to team up with a friend with a bounty. Grabbed my insurgent pickup from pegasus, just as I got to my buddy he left session. Thought I'd be funny and man the gun myself, 3 guys shot me out of it. Stole it and proceeded to chase me around the map with my own damn pegasus insurgent. Got 'em a couple times with the minigun but with 3 on 1 I couldn't manage to steal it back. Got pretty pissed at that.

I've not tried this. Sounds pretty funny, I'm definitely going to try something like this sometime!It's best to text them a random insult to distract them when the mugger is on his way do that he gets the best chance for success

I have been in passive mode and taken people (n00bs) out their tanks. Its so funny watching them running after it trying to get it back.

 

Now, I take auto shotty people in their insurgents, pick someone up and we go and kill them repeatedly till Pegasus reclaims it or they leave..

How so? I don't use a tank so how has that changed?

well i'm the guy in passive that when your not paying attention i disable passive pull you out of the tank and then kill both of us, letting some other person steal it. lmfao
