Peura Posted April 17, 2015 Share Posted April 17, 2015 You have to load, to be able to load some more, and after loading there is waiting. Result is that for some job types you spend more time loading and waiting, than you spend playing the job. When you play a job, for example trucks vs bikes, why the hell it must take so much time to reset the game when switching from round 1 to round 2... and addition to the loading you have added extra "cool initialization" screens and filmshots before the actual gameplay begings.... Who the hell cares about all that especially when it means you spend HELL OF A LOT time to wait for the actual gameplay to start. The team mafia job gamemode in GTA 4 was good mode because in that gamemode you didnt have to load between each and every single job... in GTA 5 i have not found such gamemode yet, its always like 5minutes playing --> 2minute load to get back to the "free mode" then ---> 2 minutes of job search --> then loading the job--> then waiting in the lobby --> then waiting more in the lobby after the lobby "launches" ---> then loading the job some more ---> then cool "initializations" between each round AND loading ---> then end screen waiting and some more of these idiotic "finalization" screens --> then voting, loading, more loading, more waiting, then back to free mode etc etc You get the point, there is load after load after load only so that you can load some more. I was sure you wouldnt do the same mistake on GTA 5 but you did.... Why not get rid of 50% of the loading and waiting, why not have just simple menu and ignore the entire loading in and out of "free mode" between jobs - system.... supergrimey 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Turan Posted April 17, 2015 Share Posted April 17, 2015 (edited) Maybe it is just me but I feel like on PC the loading screens are much faster than on PS4. Especially when you go back to free roam. I wonder why this is. My internet speed is the same on both platforms. Maybe it is CPU related. Peura Posted April 17, 2015 Author Share Posted April 17, 2015 (edited) I play on PC too, but the design has the flaw, it would have been possible to make the multiplayer job-joining so that you do not have to go through free mode every time you change job.. by having a menu where you pick the multiplayer job / gamemode.. just like each and every other game has... forcing ppl to go into free mode all the time in order to be able to select multiplayer gamemode adds LOADS of unnessessary loading. And also the loads between rounds (rounds of a job), especially "coolness" stuff between each round is COMPLETELY useless slowness. How can multimillion game have such a bad design on it's multiplayer MENU... menu is supposed to be a BASIC thing that CANNOT fail... but GTA 5 fails on that very very very basic thing. BECAUSE IT HAS NO MENU WHERE YOU CAN SELECT THE GAMEMODE.. loading a menu would take 5 seconds, loading free mode takes 100 times longer. I tried GTA online for the first time last night, and got bored so quickly with all the load screens. Nope I have 2 ssd's in raid 0 and the load times are so slow Ok good to know was thinking of reinstalling on SSD, but did not want to go through another 65 GB download I mean single player runs great no complaints at all, but multiplayer with all these load screens, wonder what they were thinking Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
