Rock Howard

Yep, It's no different to Max Payne 3 in that regard. Once you install the game on your other PC and log into your Social Club account you'll be good to go on the laptop - provided it has the grunt to run the game, of course,

Decent spec laptop with no graphics card.

I'm not expecting much, I'd like 1366x768 with at least constant 30fps but I really doubt it.

3.3ghz dual core i5 3rd gen

1666mhz 4GB ram

120gb ssd Samsung evo 840

Intel HD 4000

2199$ for a GTX 970M (3gb), 14'' monitor, an old i7 4720HQ, with useless 16GB (ram) for this kind of computer.. all this with a "powerful" (hahaha) 150W power supply .... and obsolete in less 2 years.. In fact this laptop is already obsolete (970M = GTX 660), no thanks.

Come back on desktop and you will see how "desktop" is better and more smart for the future => Upgrade-ability.

A Laptop is ok, when the user need to be mobile (it can be ok for gaming without exigences) .

This kind of laptop is useless, "how to throw money out the window stupidly? .. Buy a Razer Blade and other Asus Gxxx editions" while the Asus Xxxx or Asus UXxxx are exactly the same config at half price, or better, while a equivalent Desktop will be around 600-900$... (now we can build mini PC, HTPC-like, very very powerful and then can be transportable easily).

And yes, to ask, GTAV/Online only use "our" social club" account. Then, we can play on another computer.

[Edit]

Ok it's an old thread... The author have already the answer.

im not a big pc gamer i actually just got a gaming laptop......hopefully i made the right choice after some research..its been a good 10 yrs since i nerded out...lol. basically dual core cpu's had just become available when i stopped being interested in cpu's and more on c cups n so on.....anyway. i got a MSI PX60 2QD with i7 5700hq 2.7-3.4ghz cpu and a geforce 950m 2 gb.im not wealhy nor do i have ppl in my life that buy me extavegant gifts. so i had to go for best bang for buck.....for 1199.00 It plays gta 5 like as well or better than my PS4 does. I can also stream to my tv wirelessly via WIGI and or Miracast and still play without lagging under normal conditions. during intense gameplay it does very well. maybe a 1/8th of a second delay when button pushed and action achieved. i am picky and it doesnt bother me. when using it hdmi or display port to display on tv it has no lag as im sure many of you knew. but still wanted to throw it in. sorry i made this post mostly abt my laptop but just interested in what you guys use and what works and doesnt. I have a dell optiplex 9010 with 7200 rpm sata 3 and intel i5 3rd gen 3.4 ghz cpu and a nvidia branded Geforce 620 gt 2 gb. do you all think my desktop will play it or even play well enough to spend the time installing? should i maybe go SSD or one of those Hybrid HD that looks like a normal HDD but preforms closer to a SSD....sorry couldnt recall its name...so i have:

i5 3570 6mb l3 cache

DDR3 DIMM 1600 MHZ {i beleive 2 2 GB sticks}

if not is there any upgrades i can do to make the desktop capable? should i maybe go SSD or one of those Hybrid HDD that looks like a normal HDD but preforms closer to a SSD....sorry couldnt recall its name but im pretty sure you understand what im talking about

money is a issue.. i will spend good money to get what i want...so if its 200 dollar low density ram or a better GPU then let me know....i want this working so my son will let me play mine. lol also if it turns out to be the GPU that needs upgrade plz help me by listing some. there are so many and i am born again pc virgin so any dumbed down info would be great!!

thx in advance for any tips
