Cars disapeared from 3rd garage

I bought a new car for my newly bought garage, i drove a car off the street into my 3rd garage only to see 2 of the same car i just drove in inside. The car i just got off the street replaced my car, and made the other one poof. However its acting like i insuranced the car off the street, and if i try to sell it, it trys to say its worth over 300k aka my other car's sell price. When I hit sell it says, maintenance error

 

I have relogged, sent tickets in, and many others are having this same problem.

 

Insurance does not list it, and my 3rd garage is empty now. The other cars i moved to my 3rd garage are back in my other 2, but i am still missing my car that i bought that was in my 3rd garage.

 

Note: the street car that replaced my owned car, somehow moved to my original garage as well.

 

Wtf R*, wtf...

 

Is anyone else having this problem?

EDIT: Just logged in, i was given a amount of money to cover my loss from R*. Its not a hotfix but it works for now. If anyone else is having this problem, make a ticket with R* and wait a few days for a refund of your ingame money.

My problem was completely different,but I've lost four cars and my storage's gone.

This is not a Rockstar support forum, but if you are looking for others to help or share similar issues, it would help a lot if you could AT LEAST specify the system you were/are playing on.

 

Having already bought several different properties and switching from one spot to another every once in a while, I have never had this happen on my PS4 and PS3 versions of the game. So far my only suggestion would be to keep "harrasing" their support pages and submitting tickets, eventually you will get there. Good luck.

DerpCat,

I have 3 garages as well (bought them on PS3). So, I shouldnt put street cars into garage, right ?

I would agree that it's a wise idea not to put more cars in storage until the issue is resolved. I've heard this happening to multiple people so far, so it's a matter of time before a patch is in place. It's probably still safe to play, but I'd take caution to not move anything around in storage yet. Hopefully this will result in Rockstar gifting affected players with some in game cash to help recover lost vehicles.

yeah I have this problem too on pc. I lost a few of my expensive cars :/ I sent a ticket in on Tuesday, and still have no response from them.

What if you rearrange the cars in your garage (move them from one to place to another in your garage) ? Does it make cars disappear ?

Yes. I did that and it cleared my entire garage, lucky i had room in my other two so it moved my cars there. I wouldnt try it with a full garage.

You're not alone, for anyone else having this issue.

 

It has been 2 years since I played GTA Online, but I jumped back into it on the PC version.

 

I can say that this glitch does happen when you have a personal car out in the street. When you decide to steal a car and place it in the garage, it will remove your personal car and replace it with the street car.

When you exit and go back in, it will duplicate the street car.

I'd advise you NEVER put a street car in the garage unless your personal car is in the garage beforehand. I've sent a ticket and explained what happened, it's pretty bullsh*t - I've probably lost 500k in this issue since I bought a car to mod and it was gone within 6 minutes of owning it :(

Sadly it isn't awesome since they're only street cars, and after a few missions or servers the duplicate gets removed. :\ it's very weird.

i lost one car on 360 when the first slot cars were losing there insurance.

Yes I have, the thread i made about my ticket said "We found your ticket and are looking into the issue. Thanks for your patience."

But so far, 3 days in and no reply to the ticket so far.
I'm expecting to wait 2 months for an auto reply, then spend the next month and a half demanding I get something other than an auto reply that has nothing to do with the problem, then wait an extra 3 or 4 months for this to be fixed....like before on ps3.
edit: I take this back, R* has improved their support for PC players.

For this information we will need to see your DXDiag and MSinfo files.

To get these files:

1) Close all open applications

2) Press the Windows key +'R' on your keyboard > Type dxdiag > Click OK > Click Save all information

3) Press the Windows key +'R' on your keyboard > Type msinfo32 > Click OK > Select File and then EXPORT and save the file as a text file(*.txt)

4) A screenshot/video of any error messages that you might be getting.

Not a server issue entirely... since changing lobbies doesn't fix the duplicates; have to quit the program and restart to get duplicates to go away.

dup wasnt the problem, the problem was my replaced car which wouldnt let me sell it.

[PC here] Sounds familiar; my Entity XF wasn't returned to my garage when I changed sessions last night. But a short while later, I then noticed that one of my stolen Sentinel XS cars is suddenly worth what my Entity XF would be at R*'s "resale" value--$488,420...meaning this is somehow the "reinCARnation" of my Entity (pun intended--and yes, I have reported this bug to R* support).

 

I'm guessing it's related to the same bug that's caused two of my stolen and then nicely-modded Vagos gang Peyote "bait" cars to also disappear.

 

Thankfully, GTAO would not let me sell this--shortly after the "vehicle sold" screen, I got the error screen at the bottom:

Make a ticket to R*, they will refund your money as they did me. Then you can just get rid of that car.

I guess I got the wrong support guy. He didn't refund me enough to just buy back the car, way less. :( Also took over 10 day's.
