Shayd80
I've been playing for a while now with 2x msaa and had few framedrops, turning Rivatuner ON and realise with msaa x2 i'm using around 90% of my GPU when i'm not even doing anything crazy and when i turn it off it drops to 60%, 30% for a X2 msaa isn't this a bit crazy ?! ( btw my specs in my sign ) Edited April 16, 2015 by Sharks80fr
Naroon
MSAA in and of itself is a pretty intensive form of AA. It's literally up-sampling the game and downscaling it to remove jaggies that way. It's similar to how if you play a game at your native resolution, you see less jaggies than running it at a lower one. The higher your native resolution is, the less necessary/relevant AA even becomes. Turning MSAA on eats up a lot of VRAM, and since you have the 970, you have 3.5GB of actual fast GDDR5 and another partition that is 500MB which is slow as f*ck and can bottleneck you. If your slider in the graphics menu goes past 3.5GB, I'd try to turn things down to ensure a smoother experience.
