Keyboard/mouse overload fix?

So I have never had an issue like this before, so this is new.

When I try to walk, say forward and left and then aim I get a bunch of beeps and lose control of my character. Or I walk and try to shoot It keeps shooting until I pull the trigger again. This also happens when driving, Going fast, left right, and then try to make another turn annnnddddd crash into a wall because it does not recognize my input.

It acts like an old keyboard overload issue. I have checked sticky keys and filter keys, they are both unchecked and off. I just don't understand whats going on here. I have a Microsoft natural ergonomics keyboard and a logitech g500 mouse if that helps at all, also have the latest drivers installed for both.

Been working on this all day and am at wits end here, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for any input on my input issue.

Yea, Thats where I started noticing it, then I got into Trevors missions where there was a lot more firefights, and it got REAL bad during gunplay, Not sure what to do. Still researching tho.

Because it is, a generic Microsoft keyboard cannot handle more then a few inputs at once.

No real solution except to get a better keyboard

I could understand that Icepwrd, Except this ISN'T a generic keyboard. Its one of the higher end models that they made, and it has NEVER been an issue in any of the 200+ games that I have played with it, Including the previous GTA games and many other shooters.

This is ONLY an issue in GTA 5. And after testing it I can even reproduce this JUST by aiming and trying to move left or right. It locks the trigger down at that point.

I am all for a solution that entails something being wrong on my end, However assuming that I have a generic keyboard is not one that helps.

it may be a "high-end" microsoft keyboard, but it still has the kind of standard hardware you would find in a generic keyboard.

Do you have access to any other keyboards you can try with? perhaps a friends?

I do, but it will be a few days till I can get ahold of it. The main reason I don't think it could be this keyboard is that it has never had a single issue before, Battlefield 3-4, Payday 2, GTA 4, COD, and many others have played just fine, I just don't see why this should be any different. I'm not even pushing THAT many buttons at once, Actually LESS than I have hit at the same time on other games.

So I will try another keyboard as soon as possible, However I don't think that would or should be the issue here. Just doesn't add up.

Just for sh*t and giggles I tried flying with the keyboard - you know, the 8546 numpad and guess what... it won`t take simultaneous input from TWO keys, like 4+5 or 5+6 and keyboards ARE capable of 2 or 3 simultaneous keys since Red Baron, which was a Pentium ONE game.

If anything, this never happened in GTA 4, which had the same control scheme, so it shouldn`t EVER happen in GTA 5.

Just a heads up in case anyone else has this issue. SOLVED: MALWARE.

After trying for many hours, On a whim I decided to do a full antivirus sweep. Nothing. Then a Malware sweep, which I do fairly often, but not recently enough it seems. Malwarebytes found 8 items, removed them, and now the problem is completely gone. Of ALL the things I have thought to try, this was not even among them for this issue. Turns out it is just what was needed. Now I can move forward, left, while sprinting and aiming AND shoot with no issue whatsoever.

Thanks for the advice and help all. I hope this helps someone else who might be tearing their hair out.
