GTA 5 PC - Can You Play on a Mac Using Boot Camp?

So I'm an absolute abysmal idiot when it comes to computers and PCs. I've been playing GTA V on the old and current consoles and wasn't thinking about playing PC since it would cost me over a thousand dollars... However, after watching some clips, I NEED THIS IS MY LIFE. I only have a Mac desktop because, like I said; not a PC gamer. So I was wondering if anyone knows if it's at all possible to run GTA V (even at extreme lowest settings) using Boot Camp. Any answer would be really appreciated, thanks!

Hi,

As a former Mac and Bootcamp user, you should be able to run GTA and other windows games natively with Bootcamp.

However, as with almost all Macs, the hardware is usually subpar, so information on your system needs to be given to know if you can run GTA on your computer.

What model/year is your iMAC? What is your CPU? GPU? Memory? etc...

*** This is all copy and pasted from the info page ***

iMac - 27 inch, Mid 2011

Processer - 3.1 GHz Intel Core i5

Memory - 12 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 (over 500GB in the hard drive so I think I'm good on that part)

Graphics - AMD Radeon HD 6970M 1024 MB

Again, I don't really know what I'm doing with all the hardware and specifications stuff so if I should give any more info, let me know.

I'm not an expert on AMD cards, but the 6970M, while being a mobile graphics card, should be able to run GTA V at low to medium settings at decent FPS (probably around 30 or more).

Your processor should be fine as well.

Edit: To make sure that these are your specs, if you are currently on Windows, go the start menu, right click on "My PC/My Computer," click on Properties, and open up Device Manager. You should see your graphics card under "Display Adaptors."

Hi,

What about the MacBook Pro Mid 2014?

i7 2,5Ghz

16gb ram

nvidia geforce gt 750M 2gb

I think the requirements are ok but don't you guys think that the macbook will be hot as hell after 1 hour of playing?
