Bitch Ass Bullshit
You can use MSI afterburner to increase your Fan speed at specific temperature. Mine hits max 66C 90 is not bad, maybe when prolonged usage yes, but when it reaches above 95, your PC shuts down i thibk

NomadRider
I am supposed to get an alarm if my pc ever hits 70c. Never seen it, Also supposed to have alarms for fans not running. 90c is a bit hot for an intel chip. Normally under load for my I7-3770k I'll see 45-58 with a moderate overclock . But I have an awesome case with plenty of air flow. Edited April 15, 2015 by NomadRider
Bitch Ass Bullshit
It's certainly not ideal if it stays that high for extended periods / over time. As said above, one possibility is to turn up the speed of the fans. You could also add more fans (or replace current fans with better ones) to increase airflow if your case allows for it, or get a better heat sink on the CPU. I think he has a laptop. OP, you can use the bios to unlock the fan speeds, or try there are many other softwares

So much GTA V lately that I can't even Google correctly anymore I know almost nothing about laptops... Carry on!

Trash_Ok
OP indeed has a laptop. Similar case to mine, the game overheats the components significantly. Make sure you press a physical fan button if you have one to make it run at full speed. Or it can be also found in the software provided with the laptop. Then you also need to have a cooling pad and play on a good cold surface, a table for example. Do not play on bed even if you have a pad. You can also re-apply thermal paste on GPU and CPU to reduce temperature Im also gonna try to remove the case of the laptop and put in on the cooling pad like that. 80-85 is good. 90 and above is pretty high but the components can still handle it. However you should always try to make it better than that. But the game indeed overheats components and I dont know the reason. Hope it helps
