What do these advanced settings do?

hi guys.

 

does anyone know what are "long shadows" and "high detail streaming while flying" or "extended distance scaling" in the advanced graphics options?

or any in depth explanation on what any of these advanced settings are or how to get extended shadow distance to work (it's grayed out for me)

long shadows

it's something like this:

 

 

high detail streaming while flying - better quality of environment when you are flying

extended distance scaling - higher quality of textures which are far away

High Detail Streaming While Flying not only needs a fast GPU but also a fast hard drive.

If you have Nvidia card, open up geforce experience, select gta v, and it explains every graphical options with screeshots. Long shadows mean that farther objects cast shadow too to players view. High def streaming when flying means that the enviroment (ground) is more detailed looking from above when you fly. Extend distance scaling is for more draw distance. I have long shadows, high def fly on, and put two units on the sliders too. Get 59FPS pretty much all the time, until the game crashes like for a lot of other players, but is runs well, very high-high 1080p. GTX680 2GB VRAM is 2496/2047 in the graphics settings.
