Correct me if I'm wrong but if these guys get banned on PC, don't they lose access to Online completely? Since their Social Club accounts will probably get banned, won't they be unable to access the online servers unless they buy a new game + link it to a new account?

 

Don't really care about this video. People are gonna mod the game no matter what we do or say. If R* is proactive in banning them or placing them in modder's lobbies, then they won't be a problem for people who don't want to deal with this stuff online. I'd like to see more interesting mods like LSPD First Response, tbh. I'd doss about with my mates on that for ages.

I don't get why console-only players get so fussed about what happens on pc... Is console gaming so dull you have to try (badly) and make the pc crowd feel bad about their preference?

 

I'm sure not all PC players want to play with a bunch of people using trainer hacks. No point playing death match games when somebody/everybody is invincible for example.

The Simple Native Trainer for GTA IV made it still have replay value for me up until the release of V on both consoles and PC. I never really went online with it although the free roam lobbies were always great fun with people spawning massive ramps and making a demo derby arena like 1 mile in the sky. Not to mention it was an actual godsend for making movies and I hope someone does make one for V in the same way but disables it for Online use. Should only be used in SP.

 

Both console players and PC players need to stop bickering and throwing their rattles at each other. Both sides have advantages and disadvantages. As a PC player, I despise these idiots who mod lobbies like this. It was much friendlier on IV with people just pissing about together rather than abusing it which I can see happening Online. GTA seems to have attracted all the scumbags and assholes in floods in this game on both consoles and PCs.

 

The PC version is really well done though, even on my outdated graphics card. When it runs at 45-60fps, it really makes a difference in how immersive the world is. For some reason, I actually feel like I'm there. That doesnt happen in other games, not sure why. I can't wait to see what mods people make for this (non-assholery mods) and also the videos. Theres some great ones on Social Club already.

Maybe if R* did that, people wouldn't try so hard to add hacks on their own. I just hope by the time I buy this for PC (another year or so), R* will have sorted this retards out into the cheater pool.. the exact place where they belong (you can't deny that).

 

It's all nice as long as people are doing this only to team up vs. NPCs without bothering others. But 99% of the cheaters will try their hardest to bother clean players.

 

The thing I am most afraid of are speed hacks in races. Maybe there will be people who increase their maximum speed by just a mere 5%, so that you won't even understand right away why you keep losing against them.

OT: Personally I was already 50/50 with the current-gen console release of this game, I don't like buying a game more than once. Thankfully, I got a good trade in price for my PS3 copy, and thought the extra £15-20 was nothing for a game I would get X amount of hours out of, plus all of the extra content we received.

 

My computer could handle the PC version, but I don't think it's worth buying a third time. I'll admit that the game looks beautiful in 4k, and 60fps is something that is extremely tempting; but at the end of the day, it's the exact same game, with no extra content other than some bog standard, basic video editor (which anyone on the PS4/Xbox One with the right kit can replicate).

 

How anyone thought PC Online was going to be anything other than the video in the OP was fooling themselves, not to mention that this is only the beginning. I'd hate to imagine what's it's going to be like a few months down the line, and what strains it's going to put on R* with delaying content for the rest of us...

A month? Lol Star citizen has more problems than GTA. I spent six months every day playing the original Elite and although the new one is pretty much how it was 30 years ago its still light years in front of star citizen. I'll never play it on PC. At least on consoles people have to go the extra mile to get a jailbroken system. Now any annoying child can do whatever. It won't be fun, except for the jerk using it.

 

I remember when the game came out looking forward to earning things and driving around in vehicles that commanded respect.

 

That never happened. People had $100,000,000 each it seemed and no ride was sacred or revered. I was given over $70 mil myself randomly just by being in a lobby and although fun at first it took a lot of the fun and replay value away.

 

I spend most my time in invite only sessions with friends and crew. Too many people that think they're awesome out there that aren't capable of realizing the sad truth: they aren't, and they are a terrible gamer.

That's right, we were playing the early versions of star citizen and soon realised it was going no where. Moved to Elite as it was getting up and running quickly and it's also better.
