When you're the only one in the lobie you get insanely stable framerate. If he tried these settings in Singleplayer, his game would crash, or the FPS dips and stutter would make the game unplayable. He has a valid point though - My GTX 970 runs flawlessly in MP (locked solid at 60fps) but SP is a different story - it is graphically more demanding, has more peds/cars/detail.
