JBski
Due to the raw size of this file, and my poor 4G connection at home, I downloaded GTA V to my work PC through Steam. I then copied the installed game to a portable drive to move the game home, and then copied over the contents to my Steam folder at home. I log into Steam on my home PC, and tell it to install GTA V. It finds the GTA V install, and then deletes it. :| I've moved other game installs from drive to drive without issue, so I'm not sure what the problem could be, other than Steam is butt mad that I downloaded it to a different PC first for some reason. What gives? What am I doing wrong? Am I going to have to pirate this? (I don't wanna!). Re-downloading it is not an option that I would want to pursue at this time. :\
JBski
Tuesday bump. I did get GTA V to run on my work PC at least AMD Phenom II X4 965 @ 3.4ghz HD4870 512mb 4GB of ram. Yeah, I can't run it at max resolution, but it plays, at least.
JBski
OK, I found a solution, I just had to backup the game to my portable drive, and then told Steam to install it from a backup. It works now, so I'm going to leave the solution here for anyone else who has a similar issue. (See you again when I have trouble installing the next installment of GTA! ) Edited April 16, 2015 by JBski robban
