Final Kill?

Have you ever been in a 1v1 situation and the person keeps killing you and you do the same until one of you leaves the session, do you like taking the final kill or let him/her have the last.

Pardon the English, give me your opinion.

I almost never fight with other people in free roam. I'm an introvert and don't like confrontation. Until someone kills me. Then I turn into a bit of a nut case and won't stop killing that person until they leave or go into passive mode.

Mess with me, I mess with you.

Don't mess with me, I'll still mess with you.

Simple.

hahaha nice stuff.

when you got in the car i was like "he gotta put a proximity mine" laughed when you did as i do the same.

i normally put the proximity inside the passanger door.

i used to rig the car with explosives get in my car, drive a short distance and start taunting the victim with a burnout. had to stop doing that thanks to the homing launcher.

Some of you get way too worked up with revenge in freemode.

what else is left to do in freeroam.

heck, there are daily objectives that instigate more freeroam battles.

there are awards that instigate freeroam battles.

freeroam is life!

We're not getting worked up. We do it because revenge is fun. At least to me anyway.

I think you misunderstood.. Freeroam battles are fun. But I've seen people try extremely hard to make their killer pay a price, only to be blocked by passive mode lmao.

The best effect is when someone is (or trying to) revenge-kill you, and just when they get close, you "take the easy way out."

It's especially effective when wearing a bounty! :)

Best thing in freeroam? When someone starts to chasing you. They always try to keep up with you cutting the apex, and that's the best place to put a sticky bomb.

Never fails!

Daily objectives are the only thing that separate me a little bit from freeroam killing.

I see a freeroam maniac on you.

I wont stop killing him/her/them be4 he/she/they leave this session or they turn on passive mode or ...he/she/they are using some glitch(like godmode,or bot) which i cannot fight back....or force stopping because of connection problem..

But i usually kill he/she/them who attacked my crew friends. If not, i will keep myself as peaceful guy.. haha

Passive mode often isn't enough to protect them. Muahahaha!

Well, it would be if they were smart enough to get off the road or near cover instead of hanging around on an open field. Many are not smart enough.

Sometimes the final kill dont mean a thing.Yesterday I had a freeroam battle with 4 players (one was a loner and the other 3 from the same crew).

2 of them got the final kill on me (the loner and 1 of the other 3)

BUT they all run away and left session. Also my k/d radio gone up.

So even if they got the "final kill",the way I see it they still lost and left....

It depends on my mood - there is no 100% this way or that way.

I've been known to say, "This guy's too good for me to even bother fighting" and go passive and walk away. I've also been known to spawn kill someone 20+ times without a single death.

That said, if I think it's turning into a "need", then I usually stop myself and leave. I can't be doing with a computer game telling me how to live my life.

That's the beauty of it. It's all about perception/opinion.

To them, they'll probably have beaten you and they can feel good about it.

To you, having more kills and not being the coward means victory.

It works out for everyone.

To me, killing someone who killed me (even more than once, but that's fairly rare now) is sufficient payback. But I'll usually keep going if I have the opportunity because it's fun. Sometimes I'll count the kills versus deaths, sometimes it'll be about getting a kill and then getting away. If they're still coming after me but fail to kill me, I'll count that as a win too.

The only real problem I have is friends and crewmembers accidentally (often not much of an accident, even though it's always claimed to be the case) killing me. I don't like going after them because I prefer playing with people and making sure noone feels like they have to watch their back. I'll make exceptions for new people who are taking the piss.

The only time I'm in FR PvP is when I can't leave the session before they're on me. Then I'll kill them and leave while they respawn. So technically i do take the last kill but i do it in a cheap and sh*tty way.

Except the last guy - i was out by my garage at Hookies and didn't want to session-hop and have to drive out there again - so I was forced to kill the player who came after me and stick around for his retaliation attempts. Eight unanswered kills off that guy before he bailed. I assume he was new - I'm terrible at PvP but still wrecked this dude in creative and hilarious ways (two prox mine kills - TWO, ffs... one, sure, can happen to anyone, but two... that puts you right in the 'predictable' pile).

I have to admit it does wind me up when someone gets the last kill and then leaves, even when I've been absolutely battering them (it's not always like that but I have my moments).

It was like that recently, I must have been in the zone because I was getting kill after kill against someone without barely giving them a chance to respawn, but in the end I got cocky and careless and he caught me out standing in the middle of the road with a well aimed RPG shell, and promptly left the session.

I wouldn't say I got mad about it exactly but in all honesty it does annoy me more than I know it should, I think by the time I was driving off though I was smiling to myself thinking how in the end he had the last laugh.

It's a bitch after heist finales. More than once I've stuck around to help people finish a finale (definitely making an effort to stay polite, otherwise you're asking for trouble) and every time people have tried to kill myself and others after spawning into the same session.

One time a guy who failed the prison break finale several times in a row for the team killed me, then drove off and left the session shortly after I respawned. Some gratitude for taking him through the prison safely.

Another time the host leader and I spawned into the same session, he had a bounty on him. I pulled out my shotgun, aiming at him and backing off.

As luck would have it, he was able to (literally within the blink of an eye) pull out a gun, turn around and kill me instantly before buggering off.

People are twats even if you help them. I've resolved to join heist finales only after turning on passive mode as well as killing everyone else I see when spawning into a public session. Alternatively, pulling out my network cable after a mission is complete to avoid that sh*t altogether. Worked well so far.

Soran Is On

He dies. He spawns I snipe him. He spawns he snipes me. I spawn I snipe him ad infinitum.

That sums up 90% of free roam battles. People call me a pussy for getting in my car and running them over. But sniper roshambo is not fun to me.

I get your point but after a 30 min battle I dont call it getting away but running away..Especially when the one who leaves the session started the battle in the first place.

I never back out from a fight even if I am loosing bad versus 4 or 5 or more of the same crew. And sometimes even in defeat you get a small victory:Respect from others.

I made friends this way and got many msgs from crews giving their respect because I did not run away even if the odds were against to me.Last week for example I faced 5 guys of the same crew, all higher level players than me.We had a full hour and a half battle.

I did loose badly. It the end I got tired and just left (not the session)

2 of them send me msgs, telling me that I am a good player and because I did not run but fought all 5 of them I earned their respect. It was a battle that I could not win in the first place.(All of them were good and as it was a 1vs5 I had no chance against them. But it was a good "training" session for me.)By the way I did score the "final" kill. But overall they just murdered me again and again.....

Thats why I wrote that the final kill means nothing sometimes.
