SilverRST
I am having this error and I reboot the PC and yet the problem still occurs. Does anyone how to get rid of this? I haven't exceeded the VRAM, there is plenty of room, around 2.4GB used on 3GB GPU. My system: Windows7 64bit Home i7-4770 @3.4GHz Asus GTX780 3GB 16GB RAM

RedIndianRobin
This error possibly refers to corrupted files. Verify integrity of game-cache or use the repair tool in GTA V setup tool.
ronv74
Try installing GTA_V_Patch_1_0_323_1.exe (353MB). Worked for me!!!
SilverRST
Yeah, it seemed the patch name mentioned above did fix it too. And no, I never use Fraps.
