Ribstaylor
Saw the size of the downlaod of the game at 60gbs and couldn't do it where I live as there is no interenet over there for the next few months. So decided since they made a huge physical copy I'd get it over digital for once so I wouldn't have to deal with all that bullsh*t of downloading and updating day one. Just install and go, as it's been two years since the game relased orignally there would be no way they wouldn't include it all on the disk?. Not the case I see, as that 5gb mandatory download I'm now for the first time reading about, now makes this a useless piece of junk that cost me more then it would on any digital platform. Nothing more then cardboard with plastics held inside. It's a 7 disk box, couldn't be botherd to add just one more disk? I've been following the upcoming launch for months and not once did the physical copy come into talk, in regards to having to be tied and shackled to a big online update on day one. If I had known so I wouldn't have purchased your game, as without the net you've turned it into a $86 dollar paper weight. I know I'll probs get in sh*t for saying this but why as a paying customer do I get the raw deal for your teams inability within the last two years to actually finish and put your game on the disks you said it was on. Again no retail employee even mentioned this as a thing needing a day one patch to work, even when we were talking about downloading it's masssivly absurd size and my lack of internet for the reason behind the purchase. Not one of them out of the three, validating my idea of buying the physical. Wish I hadn't that money has now gone down the drain, when I could have just pirated it days ago and all and given myself enough time for the 5gb update. Instead I'm stuck with a uselss opened box and out $86 dollars I could have used to go out and actually have a good time with people, in the new suroundings I'll find myself in, that I leave for in an hour. Last time I ever buy physical of such an ubsurdly large game. Better to wait for regional repacks, then spend money on bullsh*t that doens't work and is far to big to download. The fact there's more barriers for the paying customer then pirates is down right pathetic. Last time I go physical media, or if I can help it any media at a download file of 45gb or higher as that is downright unnaccptable when people not even being payed are cutting all the fluff not needed for my region, and saving me a hell of a lot of time\space, including a lower financial risk. As if their vesion doesn't work others have repacks and cracks. Mine? Well mines stuck this way for two whole f*cking montrhs, by not having the damn thing work right out of the 7 dvd box. This shouldn't be this way. Pirating shouldn't be something that on paper has more pro's then the retail alternative, and less cons....

lastmanonearth
Sorry to hear that. The mandatory download is no doubt for the Online, which you don`t care about but they want you to care about.

PkUnzipper
I'm not following your train of logic here. Now are you saying you're mad because downloading the online component is mandatory before you can launch/play the hard disk version? If so, relax. If you bought the console version, you should know by now that launch day is a PMS bitch on steroids. Perhaps this OP post might help clarify you connectivity issues? here http://gtaforums.com/topic/785043-slow-download-from-client/
