Bonaldo
On my GTX 970 if I max out all the "standard" setting in 1080p and give MSAA x2 + TXAA, the game never drops below 40 fps in benchmark However, if I max out the advanced settings, there are major FPS drops - it can drop below 20 fps. Now the question is - are they worth it and noticeable during gameplay?

Conwin
High definition shadows aren't worth it to me personally, the setting eats a lot of VRAM and doesn't actually seem to do that much as there are already loads of different shadow options anyways. The rest don't seem to impact my performance that much so I've kept them on, although I get noticeable frame drops if I put the enhanced distance slider more than halfway. I don't even know what the f*ck all these options mean High resolution shadows seem to do jack sh*t I turned it on and I observed the shadows and couldn't notice any difference
gdfsgdfg
High resolution shadows doesn't seem to do jack sh*t here either. but always turn longer shadows on, car headlights will make shadows on peds, objects and other surfaces, its exactly like night shadows from gta iv i think. Except it doesn't seem to reflect shadows off your player character though really strange. Edited April 14, 2015 by gdfsgdfg
oCrapaCreeper
Streaming while flying seems to be the one that's the most useful and doesn't kill your GPU.

GTA V GTA IV It appears that's only an issue with the player, NPC's will still cast shadows from headlights assuming shadows are set to very high.
