OG Loc67
In a death match or a race who has the better advantage keyboard+ mouse users, controllers or is it a mix of both and down to skill? I haven't got gta PC yet
OG Loc67
Also is there auto aim or only free aim?
swirler
Well skill will always play its part! Controller has the option of free aim, partial assist, or full assist. There is a tooltip that says if you use full assist, you will be paired with others using it when online.
HornPub
I feel the mouse will always be superior to controllers when aiming. I find it to be more precise for vehicle shooting for me.
t9x69
In a death match or a race who has the better advantage keyboard+ mouse users, controllers or is it a mix of both and down to skill? I haven't got gta PC yet Neither really. Because auto-aim players only play with other auto-aim players, and free aim players only play with other free aim players. Although, using a controller with free aim will give you a disadvantage compared to K/M, but using auto aim with K/M will probably give you a disadvantage against console players. So it kinda evens itself out.
Nick930930
Doesn't matter what you are using, servers are locked to ONE type of aiming. If you join a friend who is in a "freeaim" server, you are FORCED to use freeaim. And vice versa. I play with a controller in freeaim servers and can handle myself quite well. As long as the game is 60fps, freeaiming with a controller is easy .
kaos057
Using mouse to shoot while driving is way easier than gamepad imo. DentureDynamite and ChrisPerry2
OG Loc67
Hmm what about sniping like the marksman? Controller or mouse?
hesselgren
sniping with mouse wins also found out when sniping from a heli, you can zoom with the marksman.. =) not gonna complain about that.
twannie1997
When I played DM with keyboard and mouse everything felt right, aside for the awkward first-person movement and FOV.
DentureDynamite
The only reason I've got a gamepad (Logitech F510) on order is for flying--esp. my Buzzard, but it lets me whip that Buzzard around like crazy. Otherwise K/M works great for everything else--even won a deathmatch last night(!) which I never used to do with my PS3 gamepad. IMO both gamepads and K/M have their place. aiBreeze
Was about to ask the same question, so most of you are using K/M for driving? I can understand shooting being easier on a K/M but would have thought driving/flying would feel a lot better with a decent gamepad.
Amsterdamnit
K/M 24/7 Controllers are for the weak.
