Uktranghyr
Hi guys, first please excuse my english.. I'm here because I'm desperate finding a solution for that issue of mine.. I've played for maybe 3 hours without having any kind of problem and just after that, my PC crashed (hard old school shut down without any warning, not even a BSOD). I thought about temperature issues and I checked : around 93°C GPU (AMD Radeon R9 290X 4go) and 71°C CPU (AMD FX-9370 8 cores @4,4GHz) just before the second it occurred. Now, the issue is persistent : it's been 8 times now, and I still crash after like 1-5 mins of gaming, even sometimes without having the time to launch the game. I really think it's a temperature issue, but AMD are wellknown for being overheating sh*t (I deeply regret chosing those hardwares). And what's making me doubt (hope?) about it is that I played 3 hours without having any problem.. Could it be somekind of a Windows problem ? Compatibility problem ?Does anyone have an idea .... ? Thanks for those who took the time to read this, thanks twice if you're searching for any solution. PS : don't really know if I broke something, I had special characters in my nickname (french touch..) so I had to make a junction between another new created folder with my nickname with a question mark instead of the accent.. PLEASE tell me something like "You're a dick with PC, format your damn SDD and it will work again, you'll enjoy this marvelous game with aaaaallll your friends harassing you on steam for joining them" Please
Frank ツ
and thats why i ALWAYS have a custom fan profile , i wont allow my cards going over 60-62 degrees , with 65 the absolute max. It would scare the sh*t out of me seeing a card @ 92 degrees , there might something burned now i dont know now
Uktranghyr
Yeah, I'm the kind of "safe guy" too. I've to say I stared at my HWMonitor for those temperature for several days when I first launched that PC, but my friend said "that's OK don't worry, that's what AMD recommend : around 90°C, it's perfectly normal".. After 8 months I have to say I wanted to believe it.. Anyways, I'm aware of those scary numbers, but I'll have to say I can perfectly play Arma 3 for days with ultra settings without encoutering any kind of lag, suttering nor crashes.. And I played for 3 fabulous hours straight.. that's what making me thinking it could be something I missed, I don't know.. hopeless asking from a hopeless man
