Greeno34
Hello all. I purchased GTA5 through Steam and have been attempting to play since yesterday. Each time I try to open the game, the little cursor spins for a few seconds and then nothing happens. I did install the new GTA5 specific driver from NVidia the other day. I play all other STEAM games (as well as non Steam games) with no problems at all so I'm not sure what to do. Is this a Steam issue that will be fixed soon? I've even tried disabling my anti-virus (i use AVG) to no avail. Any suggestions? Seems like a lot of money to spend for nothing.
cboxhero
So, this game runs fabulously when I'm not doing anything else but playing, but I'm a streamer. When I begin to stream, and go driving or something, the CPU just stops being used by the game. OBS + GTA is usually 70-90% load on my CPU but when I go driving or have a lot going on, it drops to 30-40% load (which is what OBS uses only). Anyone have any idea on what the hell is going on? Bmxismylife123x
Any solutions for this? I'm not going over my graphics card limits yet this keeps happening when driving at a higher speed. Open your task manager and set GTAV.exe priority to High, that fixed the pop-ins for me. Make sure your game is running too btw. Many thanks. Spadge
Hey Guys ! I read through the issues here, but since I got the game only today, I'm not familiar with any solutions to these problems I get this after I try to update the game : Did anybody have the same issues ? Any known fixes ? What causes this issue ? Please help !! ^^ Edited April 15, 2015 by Spadge007
Scalesdini
Getting the most annoying audio bug ever. The audio will cut out at random intervals for ~1s, then eventually just cut itself off entirely. But if I'm streaming to twitch, I can see in OBS the game is still making sound, people watching the stream can still hear it, but it just... stops working. Using the HDMI audio out on my 280x to Marantz SR5009 receiver. Have tried different audio drivers, starting to wonder if it might be a problem with the 30' HDMI cable, but don't have a replacement ATM. Is anyone else getting an issue like this? Nick930930
When playing the new "Adversary Modes" online, inbetween rounds players get stuck on a screen showing their players face. The next round will start and players won't see the game at all, only a picture of their face, and the radar that appears to still be functional. Hotfix: Alt + Tab out of game and open it back up. Fixes it everytime. thinkingbear
SassyVegetable
I've got an FPS problem Okay so when i run the benchmarks on everything at the highest settings (accept for anti aliasing stuff) i turned those off for this. i get little over 30fps avg. Going from everything to the highest settings to everything at the lowest gives me about the same fps from what i can tell in the benchmarks With my specs i should easily be able to play this game in 1080P and 60fps on everything at the lowest settings. My specs are: R8 280x 3gb I5 4670k stock 12GB ram Win 8.1 Drivers : AMD Catalyst 14.12 (latest stable drivers) I also get stuttering whilst playing or even in the options menu. My mouse cursor will stutter all over the place and stops doing this when i change from window mode to fullscreen or something else. THEBOMBdotCOM16
I'm having graphics problems. In certain parts of the city the mountains, buildings, cars and just everything in general has a blueish grey pixel box around it. Also when indoors, if I look out a door, it's just buggy with black pixels. Help if you can, thanks.
simon285
Another issue I had was Social Club constantly crashing my game, which then gave me the following error: 'you have logged out because your account has been logged in elsewhere'. I kept retrying and hoping it would stop giving me this error, but it didn't. What does seem to solve it is to add all GTA V exe files (from your installation folder) + the social club exe (in the Social Club folder) to your firewall exception list. I was able to play for over an hour now, while I used to crash like every 5-10 minutes. going to try that after 10 mins of gameplay froze and crashed again... Yeah, I also had some troubles again today. Seems like it stops crashing if you keep retrying (I run it as Administrator), but I guess my solution doesn't really solve it then. Sorry. BTW did you open a ticket on rockstar support? No, but there are a few others who did, so I think I'm just gonna see what answer they receive. https://support.rockstargames.com/hc/communities/public/questions/203450767-Loading-Story-Mode-Game-closes-telling-me-I-m-logged-in-elsewhere https://support.rockstargames.com/hc/communities/public/questions/203456867-GTA-V-PC-Crash-to-Desktop-or-will-log-me-out-when-loading-story-mode etc. (right now my game has been running for like almost 30 minutes without crashing, after trying to start it for the tenth time or something. ) i think i found something , and i didnt crash for atleast 5 hours . when the game crashes go to the crash report and search for this line: for me it was some random sh*tty DLL file that made my game crash without the software even running , and if you can delete the file do this . Left click with mouse on the file and go to rename , now after the dot insted of the dll put something random like FFFF and it will change the type of the file and now you can delete it without any problems

QuantumPigeon
I just got the game and when I started it up for the first time and started the prologue the menu kept on popping up every ten seconds or so. Sometimes it would even do it two or three times in a row. This bug makes the game nearly unplayable.

sivaG
This fix for those who are running the game on laptops with switchable(AMD+Intel) GPUs, try installing the Leschats 13.12 or 14.4 UnifL driver set. Tmib
Running the Steam version, freshly downloaded about 5 hours ago (redownloaded) GTAVLauncher.exe stopped working due to an BEX64 error PlayGTAV.exe along with several GPU/DX-related DLLs missing entirely sh*t doesn't start. Redownloading did not add PlayGTAV.exe and/or any missing DLLs. I have the same problem. Steam purchase. Pre-downloaded. I tried to make it work in the past 29 hours, but it didn't work. Launcher crashes, no matter what I do. I tried literally everything (except downloading files from shady sites.) Then I did notice that the playGTAV.exe file is missing. There is a chance that other files are also missing. I have no idea. I don't know, but I have a feeling that the missing file causing the crashes, since my computer is up to date and it's "strong" enough to handle the game. I have ATI Radeon video card though, so don't know about that neither. (Yes, I installed the latest GTA support released ATI driver.) I see many people complaining about missing files. How do we get those files? 1. It seems there is a problem wen you have more than 1 GPU working independently (mainly in laptops as far as I now) 2. If this is the case, have you tried to disable your main GPU (GTX 770M in my case) and wen the loader passes "the error part" enable it again? 3. It works for me, although it seems this doesn't allow my system to perform as it should....but at least I can play. 4. Hope I could help, anyone have another solution? the one I gave works but doens't seem to be the most friendly for the "system's health" 5. I already asked Rockstar and Nvidia for support, no answer yet :\ (Sorry for any english grammar mistake:p ) EDIT: I think that the playGTAV.exe doesn't exist at all in the steam version, only in the Warehouse one. Can anyone confirm this? I heard there is a FIX for laptops, but I have a desktop, with 1 card, (no integrated video chip).
SkittyM
Open your task manager and set GTAV.exe priority to High, that fixed the pop-ins for me. Make sure your game is running too btw. I have the same problem. If do this, will it be remembered as HIGH for Gta, or should I do this everytime GTA is running? It will reset every time you start the game. I think there is something around that will make it perm though, id have to look into it. But for now, this seems to be the only fix for pop-ins. Do note that this can make other programs on your PC run terribly, so try and focus on GTA when you use this. blues3531
The audio for all assault rifles is bugged. Maybe all automatic weapons. But when you fire a single shot, one round comes out of your clip but a burst fire sound is played. Not possible to make a single round sound come out of an assault rifle. Every single click is a burst.
