C4R3ON
As Steam Spy noted, this figure does not include copies that were sold outside Steam. This means that retail copies or digital copies sold from other outlets are not included in this number. Taking the worst case scenario, there are almost one million GTA V owners on Steam right now. Now if we add PC users that got their copies from other outlets, we can safely say that GTA V has already sold more than one million copies in just a day. DentureDynamite
Quality sells. But to quote Simeon in regards to GTA V PC: "Well, it's not perfect, but it will do for now. Perfection is a cruel mistress." lol

Tomern11
R* should learn from this, that there are many loyal PC gamers out there. Great game, great exclusive features, but we deserve better. Hopefully next GTA will be released to both consoles and PC simultaneously.

BigBadMF
The GameStop near where I work only ordered 2 hard copies for retail sale. As of this morning, one had sold, the other was on hold for someone. So at lunch I went to the WalMart nearby and got the second to the last one they had. Now I have to get off work, go home, install.....and wait a couple of days to download the stupid f*cking 5gb zero day patch.... It will do the same crap it did with this game - release consoles first, THEN PC some year later. It would be really nice to happen as you hope it will, but I wouldn`t get my hopes up. Consoles pay them for that. Microsoft and Sony pay out the nose for exclusivity windows. I don't think its necessarily a bad thing having to wait. The wait for V was horribly long, but it also came out for 4 different machines before it hit PC. The money the console makers pay to Rockstar allows them to do things like extensive optimization and the video editor. All of that costs time and money. Had V only come out for one generation of consoles, it'd not have taken as long for the PC as it did. GTA VI assuredly will not have a 360/PS3 release and it remains to be seen if PS5 etc will be out by the time its completed. I have no issue waiting if they can get the PC version done properly. Let the consoles beta test it. We get the better version. Obviously IV was trash, but they've clearly learned from their mistakes with it.

corvettelover
Amazing! Mine just arrived and is installing now, very high quality packaging (box, dvd case..ect) reminds me of old PC game packaging. I liked the sleeve for the manual, map and 1 million GTA cash card was sealed with a little round Rockstar sticker.

I mentioned all consoles sales because, most pc gamers tend to class consoles as a whole. This numbers do give us a good insight on why R* caters to console gamers first. The difference between sales on ps3 and 360 is astronomical, and even the "new" consoles are still selling numbers above what pc will probably sell. Day 1 360/ps3 sold 11.3 million, which is almost 25% of it's total sales so fa. While if we where to translate that percentage to pc, it would give us around 5 million copies sold after a similar timeframe, and that's being generous considering most pc players that would ever buy the game, probably preordered/bought it day 1, due to the hype and extreme long wait. Alarming
Well tbh were had it on the two last gen consoles, then next gen consoles and now PC. So the only fans left are people who are die hard fans and have some pretty impressive(expensive) pc set ups or people who only play on pc only. A lot of people will either not respend the money after possibly two times already or do not have the pc setups that will match the power of the ps4/Xbox one and cannot afford or have the need to spend $1200 Au to get a rig to play it. As for not releasing it same day, maybe they spent the extra time trying to get it so it won't be A: modded a week after release or B; pirated on the first day.
