TheAdmiester
You have some sort of setting wrong, they're there. Also, the thing you're shining your lights on wouldn't have cast a shadow in IV. V's shadows are more advanced. RoachKiller_416, Driver333, raburs and 11 others
chasez
WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT??!!! Not Rockstars fault you have a sh*tty PC! RyanBurnsRed
In Advanced Graphics setting make sure you turn on High Resolution Shadows and Long Shadows. See if that works. That should enable night shadows on cars, people, objects, basically everything. Edited April 14, 2015 by RyanBurnsRed

RyanBurnsRed
Do you have the shadow quality set to Very High and in the advanced graphics you've enabled Long Shadows and High Resolution Shadows? If yes then try bumping up the Extended Shadows Distance a bit. It's the second slider in the advanced graphics Edited April 14, 2015 by RyanBurnsRed _MK_

Evan-KCR
Ha, laughing at all the console fanboys in here. But f*ck. That's disappointing. Seems to be a bug though, so it'll probably be fixed. Edited April 14, 2015 by Evan-KCR

RyanBurnsRed
If those are all enabled then the missing link would be the shadows settings. I have mine set to very high _MK_

Snarkoid
Hi guys Even if your dynamic shadows work, your own character does not cast his shadow when standing in the headlight of cars on the road. Just check it out. _MK_

Just check it out. I guess thats an optimization thing, shadows works only in a car you drive.
