There are probably several things that use a lot of precious video ram where you can't really tell the difference with a screenshot. Magazines like Gamestar often make Graphic-Guides for AAA Games like Far Cry 4 and Unity, where you can see what every option is doing, and they compare every option from Low to Very High on the same Screenshot.
