ClareXoBearrx3R9 Posted April 14, 2015 Share Posted April 14, 2015 I am unable to play the game due to not being able to get past the startup loading screen / Rockstar Logo. After which, the program crashes with a module error in a .DLL file. I believe the issue is graphics related (I have only HD 4000) however I cannot even use parameters to size-down the resolution or alter the graphics settings. The advertised URL's shown in the provided error codes txt (C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto V\x64\data\errorcodes\) do not work as I get a "permission error" when trying to access them. I am aware it's "not a gaming computer" but unfortunately do not have much of a budget due to my current financial situation. I tried the "Safe Mode" option without avail in addition to all different compatibility modes without success. I also sent in a support ticket (thought of course no response after 10 hours) so any help would be greatly appreciated!! Currently, I'm trying things like downgrading drivers, changing performance settings, etc. I'll post if I have anything new to share. OS: Windows 10 Pro TP (10049) Version: GTA V Steam (1.0.323.1) Since I'm seeing this on Steam, I've downloaded a GTAVLauncher somebody posted, and have opened it in another folder. Default_Man Posted April 15, 2015 Share Posted April 15, 2015 It seems to be an issue to do with the Intel HD 4000, had the same issue on my laptop with switchable Intel HD 4000 & Nvidia 740M and game only launched when i disabled the Intel GPU (which nvidia's drivers decided to disable themselves and revert to a generic driver or something like that for some reason giving me a nice slideshow) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Anyway, just an update from me for others to hopefully help. I did manage to play last night for about 3 hours until I went to bed by borrowing a friend's graphics settings file and modifying it by setting nearly everything to "false" where appropriate and other values to "0", again - where appropriate. For reference, my netbook / tablet's specifications (don't laugh; this system was still over $1,000 and I already upgraded RAM haha): OS: Windows Server 2012 R2 CPU: Intel Core i5-3320M RAM: 8GB DDR3 "GPU": Intel HD 4000 with a (whopping) 32 MB of dedicated RAM It is thereby possible to run Grand Theft Auto V on a system with this setup - my settings were all turned down (and off where possible) and am playing at 800x600 resolution. However, playing the game seems to be a hit and miss thing- this morning I tried to play and got greeted with either: the previous crash (as noted in the first post) or a crash followed by Social Club telling me that "I've been signed out because I've been logged in elsewhere" Upon a bit of "research", I found that some others appeared to be having this problem as well. So hopefully there will be a fix for it sometime in the near future. I decided to post this as an update just in-case anyone was curious. Rockstar has not replied to my ticket from nearly two days ago but that's OK - I expect them to brush it off once they see the Integrated Graphics anyway. Hope this helps someone. Still crashes at credits, right after sirens and R* logo splash screen. Dunno why its like that. Tried every fix on it. Her laptop should be able to handle it better than mine yet it can't even load. I tried disabling the graphics card, it actually loads. Gets to menu screen but once in-game, takes 2secs to load each frame. Super slow, unplayable. Anyone has a better fix/workaround? I have the exact same issue as your girlfriend. I've tried multiple combinations of command line prompts, and also if you reactivate the card midgame it instantly crashes. the only difference between her system and my system is I have an i5-3230M(still with my only graphics card being the hd4000) and am running windows 8. EDIT: I just checked my dxdiag again and I noticed this line: DX Setup Parameters: Not found see if you also have that issue. I'm currently looking for a solution to this. Cody5699 Posted June 7, 2015 Share Posted June 7, 2015 same issue here on my Intel HD Graphics 3000, if I minimize the game before it crashes and wait til I hear the load screen music, open it back up and it works.
