Krysaenaar
I game at 1200p and would be happy with 60 fps. I sold my 680 and have a choice between the 780ti for £250 or a 970 for £288 In GTA5 will the extra 500mb of Vram be needed for my resolution? Cheers guys
Bitch Ass Bullshit
I think the 780Ti smokes the 970, that too with bettter price. So many people are having trouble playing with 970 At Very high settings, VRAM needed is 3.6GB. This will get you 60 fps
-Eddie-
Well I can't speak for the 970 but I have a single 780Ti SC ACX running a 1920x1080p display and it's giving me on average 100 FPS in the countryside, 80 in the city. I've limited the FPS to 60 by using a HDMI cable and the game looks fantastic and buttery smooth. Most settings on very high/ultra. MSAA x4, FXAA on, high resolution shadows, long shadows, etc. I'm currently using 2.5GB out of the 3GB VRAM the card has. So VRAM might be necessary for any future graphic mods you wish to use. The 780Ti won't run every setting on ultra it still looks absolutely gorgeous. Edited April 14, 2015 by -Eddie- Krysaenaar

Cheers for the reply Bitch Ass Bullsh*t I am sorry i assumed 780Ti has 4GB VRAM. I am not sure, i have an R9 290. In the settings it says, 2.5GB VRAM used, but in actual it uses 3.5GB as per MSI Afterburner Krysaenaar

ninjaontour
I own a GTX970 Twinfrozr OC, and I'm getting great frames. Solidly outperforming my buddy's 780ti by 20-30 fps

Shayd80
no issue with my gtx 970 but i also see a lot of people complaining about low fps with the same gpu so i don't know, maybe you should wait a benchmark or something to be sure Edited April 14, 2015 by Sharks80fr
