If i run the uninstall in the C/Program files/Rockstar Games/Social Club folder, it gives me a message that says "All Rockstal Applications must be uninstalled before uninstalling social club" But I dont want to uninstall GTA V that is just installed. I couldn't figure out how to rename the profile folder, so I made a new user. Shorty_F Posted April 14, 2015 Share Posted April 14, 2015 (edited) This bug occured because I have a " é " in my usual Windows account : " Cédric ". I tried to remove it but it didn't work. Only solution to solve that, create another account, but don't use special characters ! For exemple, just name it " GTA ". Ensure it gets ADMIN rights. Then switch to this new account, relaunch the Social Club by clicking on the game icon on the desktop and... tadaaaa ! Still stuck at the loading screen on the Social Club app before the game starts. Only game i have on PC that doesn't work. Anybody else still having this issue? Making a new account is nothing for me im expecting things to work as intended straight out of the box !!! TaskDagger Posted April 17, 2015 Share Posted April 17, 2015 Well i had that problem and I fixed it by changing my name in C:Users. My name had a ~on it so what causes the issue is the launcher trying to get info from that folder but if you have a special character in that folder name (~^´) the game won't succeed in getting the info it needs. So all you need to do is change your C:Users:(Your name) to a name without any funny character. Google on how to do it. Its kinda complicated. So good luck.
