While the Story wasn't the deepest, it wasn't bad. It certainly wasn't a Death Note kind of story, but it was fun to play through this storyline. And I think that matters more than if the plot was good.

Actually the overlay of fog/smog is added like in PS4/XBO, if we get the timecyc files should be able to turn that stuff off, but yeah, we need to get into them first.

Not targeting you at all. And I can't play the game yet, because I just came home. I'm just saying that it doesn't make sense to say the game is horrible etc when it's all just opinions, not everyone thinks this is a bad game. Many people think it's a good game.

 

But, if you don't like it, why are you here? Just curious.

I'm bored because installing the game took 2.5 hours and installing the patch will take another estimated 3 hours. I can't play yet.

Personally, this is freaking amazing....love it!

 

Of course I want more, better, ideas all around.

But man, they have come along way, im sure you can respect that.

 

With my stats getting very high, sliders full 60 fps drops to 35 at times, very smooth and im happy.

Same reason I'm always here, trying to take over the worl..., I mean for the modding potential, the main draw I have with all GTA games, hoping to get into these soon, Rockstar made a daft choice this time around, so modding will be insane tough, but hey, gotta protect GTAOnline right, hopefully, at least, we can sort out so that we can assume map files are in their own arcives and not joint with anything else, if they are joint, well, f*ck dat, people better get used to shifting around 2GB files to try mods!

Yeah you are right............me i was extremely disappointed but when i replayed the game for one more i kinda like it and the characters too and it's make more sense than gta sa (and that's my best gta"sa") so calling the game is a nonsense isn't a valid point and i don't know how exactly having above 50 missions that doesn't make any progress to the main focus of the game isn't a nonsense this doesn't mean i hate it after all it's just a game ........my only problem with gta v it's just short very short it's like all what have you done was like a month in the game.........But hi look at me you don't see me complain about the game and trying to explain to anyone who like it why it's sucks even after year and half......... i know i'm new at the gtaforums but i was always get in the forums as guest......and i don't think the game is worth .....i don't know ...maybe...still playing it and being active in gtav forums if you don't like it that much..that's just my opinion.

Summed up my thoughts. The only reason I'm planning to buy V PC is for online and mouse/keyboard purposes.

 

Although, how can anyone getting bored from a GTA game?

Your signature is also quite telling. You built it up so freaking high before even playing it. I wouldnt be surprised if more people feel the same way as you though. The HYPE become something impossible to match for you, but I think a lot of hype is self-inflicted. I ignored the game until December 2014 pretty much b/c I was waiting for PC. The only thing I had seen till then was the E3 trailer announcing PC (besides TV ads). I started caring then because of the January release date and thats when I started posting here again after a longgggg hiatus.

 

Its just a new generation GTA.

I have a built into my psyche thing where I don't let others sway me too much on things like story, but that doesnt mean Im going to disagree with them, I just have to decide for myself. So far, I'm intrigued by the story. Im not deep into it yet, but I like the characters that Ive met so far at least. I find myself laughing at sh*t people are saying much more than GTA IV too.

 

I like IV and I like Liberty City in IV espc since I live basically in the same area where Niko did. I can walk to my corner and see Manhattan across the river, but IV was missing something for me. I still don't know what it was despite NYC being done pretty damn well and actually recognizing real places. I also didn't really like Niko as a character. On the flipside, Sleeping Dogs is one of my favorite games of the last few years and Ive never been to Hong Kong and Im not Asian but I really liked Wei Shan.

That is pretty cool. Liberty City was nicely done and had a few highlights (Middle Park, Statue of Happiness a few promenades etc), but I just don't like "your" city /no offence) Too urban/grey, I'm really not a big fan of such megacities. Los Santos feels way more varied, more spread out and charming. A new Vice City/Florida would be my dream, but LS comes close.

 

Nico was okay and certainly the deepest chracter in the universe yet. Johnny was really good, to my surprise, I enjoyed TLAD more than BoGT. I like psychopaths like Tommy & Trevor more than unbelievable & whiny pseudo-moralists like CJ and Vic Vance.

 

Also enjoying story/characters so far.

 

Yeah Wei Shen was awesome, but I didn't really enjoy Hong Kong that much and put it aside right after the story.

Seriously, but why are we acting like he has credibility over everyone else? It's a forum, some people are just a lot more vocal with their opinions. That being said, while the story is weaker than IV, it's still fun. And to be honest, I've completed V more than any other GTA..
