WAAWAAWAA
Sorry for making a new topic when I could post this in the framerate thread, but it's good to have a separate discussion to make the information clear for people. For those of us who are buying a new gpu to run this, what is our best shot at getting good fps at 4K high settings? All of those with 4k monitors please chip in. Obviously R* have already published the recommended specs, but since the release some people are complaining that performance suffers despite meeting the requirements. Would a 970 be enough for 4K at high (not maxxed out necessarily) running around 60fps or would we really need an SLI setup? would 4gb video memory be the minimum we should be aiming for? AK7
I don't quite know what you need for 4K, but I do know that a single 970 will not be able to play this game 4K at high. Also, for 4K you're going to need all of your 4GB VRAM and the GTX 970 doesn't quite have 4GB of equal speed VRAM (more like 3.5+ 8x slower 0.5 GB). Having said that I do not recommend SLI GTX 970's, because VRAM doesn't stack, unfortunately. So, if you have SLI 970's you would still only have 3.5 + 0.5 GB VRAM. FunGt
You need SLI for 4K all high and 60fps, if you keep 1080p you can avoid SLI. Without a SLI I think you can reach max 30fps on 4K. Edited April 14, 2015 by FunGt
Bolcksta
I would seriously recommend Either a Titan X setup or SLI GTX 980 Super-clocked. No, I'm not playing around, I mean it is a huge expense but if you want that 4k with a good frame-rate you better bet your ass you need a setup this good. WAAWAAWAA
My problem is thus; I have around $800 to put down on 4k monitor + a gfx card, and I'm worried that with that budget I wouldn't be able to get 4k at playable framerates. My CPU is fine, 3750k, 8 gig ram
Lazzerus
Getting a solid 60 + with SLI gtx titan x's. max setting except aa as you dont need it at that res Game looks insane with 4k!
WAAWAAWAA
Do you think 2x Titan X is required, or would one be enough?
