cosmicdance
Hi When I launch GTA V I always get the same error message 'GTA V exited unexpectedly' and it also won't launch in safe mode. I've updated my NVIDIA graphics drivers to the latest ones. My PC is - i7 3.4 CPU GTX 590 GPU 8 GB RAM Windows 7 Premium 64 bit Any help would be greatly appreciated. WhatILack
I am having the same issue, originally my game would launch and I would get onto a scene with Sirens and stars. Then the game would crash and be given the message, now after updating my drivers the game will open in the background (Observed through task manager) then the launcher will reappear with the message that it has exited unexpectedly. cosmicdance
I've got it working now. It was 3 of the .rpf files that had the incorrect checksums. I have the non-steam version so the downloader you get from Rockstar doesn't seem to have a way of verifying these files. I did it manually by verifying each of the files' checksums using the free WinMD5 program. I found a list of the correct checksums on a Rockstar forums posting so if anyone needs to verify theirs I can send it to you via PM. Andy

Spiderfreak2312
well I ended up getting it to work like I mean the game I just had to right click on GTA and go to properties and in the target box in the properties at the end I added -verify, hit apply and then launched my game and then it downloaded a few files prob either corrupted ones or ones I never did download after it was done I was able to play, and also after it launched for the first time I went back into properties and took out the -verify at the end so it doesn't do it every time I launch the game. that's the method that worked for me idk if it'll help anyone else also, but worth a try I guess.
