Thalyn
E:\ is your DVD player or your HDD ? If it's your HDD, use the command (admin): chkdsk E: /f /r And next, DiskPart (and the "rescan" command). I don't have time to explain in detail but there are lot of tutorials on the internet. If the problem is still here, then think to change your HDD ASAP. If it's your DVD player, then check if there are no scratches or fingerprints on the disc (and clean up), contact the rockstar support, and contact your seller (may be it's a defective disc (it happens)). . VIPΣR
When the setup asks for disc2, try clicking on search and select your DVD drive. It worked for me.
1987_EC
wtf, didnt expect that to happen with a R* product...yeah they are not allways the best when it comes to porting stuff to the PC but still thats a serious error not a minor one..and ive never heard before about any game in the whole history of PC video games that had an error upon disc installation..I really hope its only the fault of your HDD or something and not R*'s fault (hopefully youll find a solution for it soon enough), but could it also just be a faulty copy of one of your discs? cant remember
Cyclic error usually means an error reading from the disk. Either the disk is bad or the drive is unreliable. I would try to installation on another computer, and it you get the same thing there, you will have to get the game replaced.

Crossy
Ok guys i have a fix for it. If you go to the rockstar website you can redeem your online key there and get the installer. I'm installing it right now from there but the only thing is you will use up 60GB of your internet so if you have enough internet go to the website. I hope this helps some people. Just installing now hopefully it works ____________________________________________________________________________________________ Just found out thats for multiplayer xD sorry to get peoples hopes up. Crossy
arjan123nl. I would suggest not doing this installer as it requires the key from the box and if your going to be returning the game your gonna have to not have that CD key Used or else they will not give you a refund. The place to find it is under is here: http://socialclub.rockstargames.com/ Just login and go to activate now. If you want try heading to: https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/activate This link wont work until you have logged into socialclub.
