GTAglezga Posted April 14, 2015 Share Posted April 14, 2015 what's good and what's bad about gta5 on the pc? i've not got it yet but doesn't seem to be too many people complaining. is it that good though? from what i can see the traffic/peds density isn't any better than the old gen versions. graphics seem ok but not that much better than old gen unless you're really pixel peeping. what you saying? i'll buy it soon but not that hyped for it, after however many hundreds of hours (possibly thousands) i put into last gen i'm a bit bored of los santos now (i know, sacrilege right) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

kmanmx Posted April 14, 2015 Share Posted April 14, 2015 (edited) I don't know what you've been seeing. For the most part, graphics are much better than consoles, new or old. The are some places that let it down with bad textures but generally it's a really great looking game, and if you are careful with the settings it runs great. I say careful, because settings like MSAA drop your fps by 20 or 30. Same for shadows. A little bit of compromise goes a long way. They nailed the controls IMO too. Plays great on M&KB, even driving. Hitting someone with a hammer in first person is awesome, though it makes you feel kinda bad compared to the crappy graphics and third person on old gen So yeah I love it. Seems like a really well done port for the most part. I admit, my rig is very high end, so even bad ports tend to run well for me. So i'll leave other people to say if it really does run well on a more normal rig, I can't comment on that aspect. But if you have a top end rig (GTX 970/980 SLI or Titan X), you're flying. Fabiano1979 Posted April 14, 2015 Share Posted April 14, 2015 I still have problems with the launcher, but at least I can play. Graphics are good, nothing amazing though. I have several moments with fps going under 10...the weird thing is that this is happening inside stores or in dialogues and not when Im driving or doing activities that demand my PC.
