Would you buy GTAO DLC?

Just curious as to how many of you guys would buy GTA Online DLCs.

For example, they could release a clothing pack for $2 or $3, or even DLCs we've been getting like the High Life.

Would you guys be willing to pay? I know I would be.

I'd buy Heists and maybe High Life. Last year I would've probably bought them all if he met shark cards got removed and the Online became less grindy, but I've come to accept that the grind doesn't exist because of cash cards, the grinds exist because of laziness.

I would buy.

If the price I see in Online are comparable to the SP. No $50k turbo-kind-of-bullsh*t.

$5 for an optional pack? Take my money.

$10 for an optional pack and a less sh*tty connection support? Take my money even more.

Sure! But as long as cash cards exist we have no worry.

SP DLC(s if more) might be the only thing that costs money, with some content tossed in for Online players to get them too buy it

Glad to see some people agree. If R* released small payed DLC frequently I'd happly buy them over shark cards.

The only problem is if they do this, they could begin to seperate online lobbies. Thats why it should just be small cosmetic things such as clothes, gun skins etc rather than large packs, although a large pack every now and then would be fine imo.

Hell no I wouldn't pay for a clothes pack.. Shark cards have multiplied their profits tenfold, they have no excuse to charge for DLC.

With the billions they've made I even expect a map extension to come free of charge. Not only does requiring people to pay for DLC split up the player pool even more but I just feel it's a slap in the face for all the shark card buyers. Single player story DLC would possibly be the only expectation but even still.

You sure? What happened to CE users who got the CE DLC codes then?

It's as simple as:

- If Rockstar's greedy: They won't give compatibility update so players who don't buy DLC will have to buy or otherwise they're stuck there.

- If Rockstar's not greedy: They will give compatibility update so players who buy and don't buy DLC will still be able to connect to each other. This is the method used in Collector's Edition.

Of course, the points above won't apply if the DLC is regarding to stage/world.

I'd buy vehicles and weapons, etc, but not missions or heists.

I just would assume not enough people would buy the missions or heists to get a decent group together to actually complete them.

Mind you, any weapon of vehicle that was DLC would have to be a bit better than the standard content. Which would mean people would complain they were overpowered, too fast, too good which means anyone using them would be labelled a 'noob' for using the 'overpowered' DLC content.

But I don't see why we couldn't just be able to buy the exclusive content. Like a DLC for the hotknife, blimp, Duke 'o Death etc for single player (it's not like anyone cares what you have in freemode).

I would totally buy a 'zombies' DLC for single player though, like Red Dead Redemption. Or pretty much anything along those lines.

Depends what it is. If it were an expansion like TBoGT or TL&TD then yeah. For a couple cars, guns and some clothes updates we've had so far, no.

Well that's the thing, why would R* be releasing cars, clothes, gameplay additions, new gamemodes, heists and so on for free then suddenly start charging actual money out of nowhere for? More importantly why are people stupid enough to say they would be willing to pay for something that they've been giving us for free already?

Not only that but it'd be a dumb choice on R*'s part as well, right now they're selling Hydra's for basically $50 through shark cards that people are actively buying, they would never be able to get away with selling a single vehicle for $50 straight across... they're making way more money now as it is.

Plus cash paid exclusive content just sort of undermines GTAO's whole premise anyways and would probably piss off a lot of players who have to actually earn their real life money by working rather than asking mommy for $50.

Depends, obviously not beach bum but I would have probably payed for Flight School and Heists but at the end if you would have to pay for them all I would probably, just to have them all

1. Paid DLC to swap Cash Card system. Of course, at this stage, it's very unlikely to change.

2. Indeed. Cash Card makes more money. Cash Card is limited consumable item. While DLC is unlimited consumable item.

3. Paid DLC aren't meant to be purchased day 1 and Rockstar should take care of it in non-greedy way like in my point above. And players, I assume at least they're already working, should know how to manage their money and know their life's priorities, instead of go mad on Rockstar just because they can't afford to get the latest $5 DLC on day 1.

I prefer the game to not be segregated due to some people owning parts of it and other people not. That would kill it for me, personally, so no. If it was just clothes then I'd not buy it and happily ignore it. If it were game changing features like new weapons, vehicles or maps, then I'd stop playing.

There's no way on earth I'm paying for virtual clothes. That's just beyong pathetic.

I'd happily pay for something which actually enhanced gameplay or length though

i would pay $10 for a mansion with a 20 car garage, a view, and a pool. something like Franklin's house interior with a huge garage. even if it's just a 10 car with an additional 10 storage spaces.

I would pay a few $ for some of the classic iV cars to return such as the faction, fortune, uranus, and C5 coquette with the white/red paintjob.

Yea I would I've had this game since launch and have never bought a cash card. So all they've made off me is 120 dollars one purchase for ps3 and one for Ps4. So I would definitely invest real money in additions. This game is awesome and it could be awesomer hahahaha

With the current pay model, this seems to be the answer for Paid DLC.

Truth is...I'd buy the sh*t out of a map expansion.
