Threw molotov cocktail to his friend (this was staged) then his friend ran in flames until the flames vanished. Throw the molotov cocktail to a visible running player and the same will happen.

Well, theories can be made so we'll never know unless the creator of the video comes forth with the truth. The only way to deny this as a hoax would be for us to replicate the scenario. Invite Only session, go in mine, first person, night vision, throw moltov. If nothing happens then it's a hoax. Unless the creator says, "oh, you gotta do it at 3AM on Friday in-game after shooting a hillbilly."

Or just send R* the clip. They'll probably play it off as they did with the bigfoot thing, "we're not denying but there is something in those hills."
