This a console section find the PC section

No it's not. This is the GTAO section, for all platforms.

PC has its own section within the V section for single player.

Everything went peaceful.

Untill the modder nation attacked...

But there are good modders too

as example general iroh and zuko

yeardley diamond etc

Yeardley Diamond should not be included there. You used the word 'are'. He croaked, so he's a 'was'.

Either way, I have no clue who that person was. I just know he croaked.

The peacefulness will not last long. It was like that for a few days after GTAO launch.

and if you thought modding on the consoles was bad, just wait till PC hackers take over lmao. it's a LOT easier to cheat/mod on PC than consoles.

Even with console players they seem a lot friendlier. Although I did shoot a few people cus I could to test out how the mouse aiming felt.

Also, you can play with friends who use controllers and aim assist without it affecting you if you want to use m/kb. It doesn't lock on at all when using mouse.

so you're saying that people with controllers have autoaim when kb players don't? seems kinda unfair to me.

why would this be unfair? we didn't have this in SA

PC Online will be broken by modders soon.

That's why my Online characters stay on my 360/One

It was actually peaceful on PS4 for a week or so until everyone transferred. I don't see many of the new players that joined on PS4 around anymore. For a while there was say 70% of players all on a similar level but now it's just back to the usual hard cores that transferred. Joined a heist the other day and the leader was lvl 1020.. insane.

I still see quite a lot of low level players on PS4, not including the ones who are clearly second characters. I also still regularly get low level players driving up to me and honking their horn as a sign of friendliness.

We all have different experiences though.

^ the modding im actually talking about is different

Like in san andreas you could put different vehicles in the game and like change the sea levels but all of that was in my story mode

I dont know if you have ever played pro evolution soccer before but they dont have the real licensed kits so you can download them(unoffically) from fan sites

Yeah we are talking about the same thing. I just don't want other players to be able to (for example) join my session on the back of a T-Rex with lazer eyes and fire breathing capabilities, whilst they're holding a BFG they copied directly from the model files of a 90's game. If there's no way that modders can enter public lobbies in such a manner then that's cool, otherwise it makes playing online a total no-go.

It's not my area of expertise. I have friends that were heavily into the modding scene, particularly with Half Life, but it's not something I've ever had anything to do with.

What about if they were dropping billions of $$$$$😀😀😀

I always felt free roam would be better if it was forced free aim, and leave the coop stuff to auto aim.

My God this. Half the time when I switch to Free Aim (on consoles obviously) and land in a public session no one annoys me. Even when I was using my secondary lowbe character. Meanwhile in AA I had an asshole cut me off alongside a newbie. The second I joined the session.

I've not seen much of the PC version - what's the chat thing that's been mentioned? Is it a typical text chat in the lobby type deal?

Yeah it is...

I forgot just how annoying PC games can be at times, especialyl with the gazillion buttons to press..

(don't even get me started on weapon selection..)

Best way of playing IMO, is kind of hybrid keyboard + mouse/controller - especially using the controller for cars...

AWSD etc is pretty good in first person admittedly..

Now they just gotta sort them framerates..

I'm running it on a 16GB rig with an OC'd 4GB GTX 680 , i7 4930k @3.8GHz and it's still dropping down to 30 fps.. :/

Thanks. I'm now getting a hankering for Quake over the local network.

I cri evertiem.

What's your graphics card like? Surely that must be a bottleneck with that memory & CPU.

Am I seeing things, or are you mentioning the old franchise Quake?

Yeah we used to down tools at work whenever management were out off the building, and play Quake on the network. In our particular office there were 4 programmers and 3 of us were gamers, the fourth being an elderly gentleman who used to sit there doing his work and grumbling about us playing games and making noise.

Good times.

Lol. Doom was sooooooo last year when we were playing Quake :p

I did love Doom and played it to death. I think I knew every single secret in that game by the time I stopped playing it. At the time though, Quake was the newest thing so we were all over that. I don't think we ever did play Doom on the network. We were just Quake addicts!

Here you go - knock yourself out ;)

Yeah SP Doom was the sh*t. Played Doom II: Hell on Earth to death - over 10 finishes.....

Yet I still suck at dodging the Revenant's homing attacks. :die:

I used to love making Maps in Doom, never did like Quake, by the time quake came out I was well into pipe bombing this guy.. Brian, yeah Brian. I never met Brian but I would call him up on the phone a couple times a week for maybe a year and say lets do this.. One of us would put our modem on and wait for the dial. Then we would BLOW sh*t out of each other in Duke Nukem for hours, no disconections ever :p (rockstar pay attention lol). It was way more fun than quake imho and Shadow warrior... lol. Classic. Went straight from Duke Nukem to Unreal, to the early days of counter strike. That was about the end of PC gaming for me. Oh well actually I did did right into Half life deathmatches at lan parties for a while. That was good.

Which reminds me - I should go back and play Final Doom: TNT Evilution..... with 30% health and no armor. In a map full of effin Shotgunners. Thank you MAP09 Stronghold with that ridiculous number of hitscan enemies. :sui:

Duke Nukem never really grabbed me much. I enjoyed it but just didn't play it often. I'm guessing I got a Playstation not long after that and my PC gaming faded away. I would have started playing Gran Turismo and being overwhelmed by how real the graphics looked.

I can't remember which 3D Duke Nukem I had on my PS1 at the day. Heck I still have and play the PC Total Conversion of PlayStation Doom on my PC. :p

And yes - I have TWO Source Ports for PC Doom. Sue me.

But seriously. If you had a PS1 when you was a child, and didn't play PlayStation Doom, your childhood is f*cked.

I still remember when a f*cking floating tomato (aka Cacodemon) could scare the sh*t outta me.

I'll be honest - I never knew Doom was available for Playstation. My biggest memory of that console is probably Tekken 3. I've still never enjoyed a fighting game as much as that, to this day.

I can't remember the company that made the PlayStation port of the game (it wasn't Id Software) - also the screenshot somewhere above shows the intro of the game.

Its a lot different from the PC version - most of the maps (or at least Doom II) has shorter heights (remember the dumb part in Map 09 - The Pit with all the moving elevators? Or the hall-like area where you fight the Spider Mastermind on Ultra Violence difficulty settings? All those areas are shortened in the PS version) or removed entirely (RIP Industrial Zone :( ). The lighting is different too - and a new monster has been added - Nightmare Spectre. Same as normal Spectre except he's cyan and has twice the health.

But poor Revenant has been nerfed - he's slower and all he fires is a slowed down homing missiles. and poor Arch-vile had been removed entirely.

Can't we just get along? We all love the same game regardless of the hardware it's being played on. There's pros and cons to each piece of hardware but that isn't really what our community is about. It's about love for GTA.

Apparently it is, from what I've seen. It's nothing but console kids trying to take jabs at pc people and then people on pc retaliating. It's juvenile at its best no matter what. It is amusing that console people appear to be threatened by pc to the point they have to try to take shots at them lol but it's still stupid that people behave this way.
