PC Online freeroam is so peaceful

So how does the PC version differ from the next-gen console versions (aside from stuff like the editor feature)? I watched a bit of a live stream last night and saw no major differences.

 

I can't see anything yet other than the graphics and an additional radio station, as well as user selected music..

 

I think I'll have some fun tonight though running round sessions of <lvl 10s, taking them out with a musket.. That should confuse the hell out of them..

 

 

So no new playable content? Essentially just the same game as on the Xbone andPS4? Oh dear.....

 

 

Well that video editor is one huge change if you ask me.

Why would you expect new content? Remember when new gen came out and people were all like "It's not GTA6"?

 

I'd personally buy it purely for the editor, myself, but I'd have to spend a wad on a graphics card that would play it since graphics cards are never high on the list when building development machines.

 

Anyway, I'm sure there'll be lots of small things that have changed, just like new gen was. It's a little too early to find out yet.

 

Despite not having it on PC, I'm still excited to find out what's new.

What's your graphics card like? Surely that must be a bottleneck with that memory & CPU.

 

 

 

Well that's running everything at very high to ultra though.. I'll have to have a proper play with the settings later and get the balance right..

 

Thing is, it's a stable 60 fps, then *bang* it drops in half..

 

Though it might well be time to get upgrade.. (I made the mistake of getting the 680 about two months before the 7xx series was released.. >.<)

It does, but in a session you're looking at 1-2 advanced players at most...

One on each format, that can both progress.. but obviously at different rates depending how much you play each platform..

 

Not sure what it's done to my money yet, but I'll check that in moment via remote play..

 

 

Weirdest thing I've come across so far is that you can't throw 'nades or stickies out of cars if you're the driver.. not sure about passenger thugh...

I doubt the transfer (copy) is any different than it was when it was old gen to new gen. It should just be an exact duplicate that branches off.

not saying PC free roam never will be a big deathmatch but with mostly older teens & adults playing theres more of a desire for interaction and cooperation rather than outright killing and arguing

Yeah, just looked then, still got $1.9M in cash on PS4,. then on PC I've got about $2.7M after all the pre-order cash..

 

Another thing that's annoying is that the CE cars etc are not available, yet I'm a CE owner from the PS3 (still even got the game, but no console)..

so you're saying that people with controllers have autoaim when kb players don't? seems kinda unfair to me.

 

Any half decent mouse user can be just as quick with the mouse as an assisted aim controller. Even faster, since you can "snapshot", as opposed to the vecinity requirement for the controller.

 

Full on auto-aim might probably push the mouse user to "mildly adept" requirement, but still not the greatest of the problems IMO. I wouldn`t be overly concerned about it.

How retarded would it feel using a mouse and keyboard to play GTA?. That would be even worse than playing with inverted aim turned off. Wouldn't surprise me if some little kids use a mouse and inverted off all at once for maximum unco effect.

How retarded would it feel using controller and auto-aim in first person? A mouse is much more precise than an analog-stick. For free-aim people the better device.

It'll be fine. Give it a few days and you'll be able to hide in interiors and shoot out. All you'll have to do is download and run an exe file, and don't worry about the AV warning - it's a false positive
