GRINCH ASS BITCH
Holy hell, this is like the good old days of near instant transitions in GTA:IV. I LOVE IT. PS: I never played on PS4/Xbox 1, just PS3, so the difference is freaking massive. Edited April 14, 2015 by Gutslub

Gta_for_pc
On ssd or hdd? Still not sure if I should install on SSD, might not have enough space for mods. How long is the character switch transition? Edited April 14, 2015 by Gta_for_pc
ZeroZero
I`m on a regular hdd and the loading times seemed very fast.. compared to the Xbox 360 where i first played GTA 5 on.
Jimbatron
Yeah it's awesome isn't it? I've been using that word a lot in the last 8 hours.
RyanBurnsRed
I have the game installed on a 2TB 5900RPM drive. The loading times are shorter than they are on last gen consoles for sure, and switching between characters are really fast...almost instant. Can't wait to see how it's going to be like once I put it on an SSD.
Red Goose
I'll comment on the loading times once I run into some. DentureDynamite
fluffydude51
Can anyone post a comparison? The ps4 version imo is way better than PS3 but I would like to see near instant loading times?
DentureDynamite
On my PlayStation 3 Slim (160 GB), I clocked loading times for Story Mode at 1 min. 53 sec., and Online at 58 sec. from click of button to when character is vertical (Story Mode) or appears (Online). And that is with a Comcast 30Mb/s cable Internet. I have yet to clock my Samsung 840 EVO SSD load times, but it's clearly much faster; especially going back and forth between Story Mode and Online--and so far, no "frozen/locked-up cloud" nonsense during loads. SilentMage
I never played GTAV on the consoles, so I can only compare loading times to GTA4 on the PC - and compared to that, this game loads ridiculously fast. From title screen to gameplay (clicking Story Mode), average load time is under 15 seconds!
1987_EC
sounds good OP, I hope loading times are short on low end systems as well.
DentureDynamite
Going from PS3 to PC is huge; can't overstate that enough. Got nailed pretty badly by the cops though; need to get used to keyboard and mouse again for everything...need to tweak all kinds of key bindings. lol
Alpha Demigod
near instant transitions in GTA:IV. Are you talking about that thing where you can enter and exit buildings without a loading screen?
