I love driving the Last Slamvan. I could give a crap less if it is rare or not. Just like my regular Slamvan, Rat truck, and all the other slow, ill handling vehicles I own. I love the handling. Super fun to drive.

 

I will not be moving to PC, but this solidfies it for me. Not moving for sure now.

So, out of 200 cars, let`s say, you simply CANNOT have fun if you can`t drive ONE of them, even if you COULD find another that is 95% the same volume, weight, class and handling.

 

I`m sorry, but you have too high standards and you also get pissed too easily for anything higher than 4th grade.

 

 

If those 95% of cars are not the type of car you like 'cars that appeal mostly to 12yr olds', and that 5% is the kind of car you really do like and they get blacklisted. Then you have the right to be pissed off.

I have a Lost Slamvan. It's a pain in the ass to drive, but I wanted it because I like the way it looks. I don't care if other people like it or not. This thread is about the Lost Slamvan. An Online only vehicle. It is a good assumption to guess that it will be availible eventually. Special SP vehiles are obviously not coming.

 

BTW, one snow car is availible as a respawn vehicle in the Capture creator.

They took my Rat Loader out of my Garage at one point - when it got removed from the game. I opened a support ticket and made a topic on this Forum, tracking its support replies, as it was a 100% legitimate vehicle, that was spawning normally, could be driven normally, parked and insured and also had really nice upgrade options. At the time I invested my own grinded money into customizing a 100% legitimate vehicle.

 

The support didn`t say anything more past the usual crap, BUT sometime down the road they reintroduced the thing and with mods for free for a while, as repay to those that lost them, alongside their own earned money. One year later I see it also has a clean version AND another "Rat Rod" pickup.

 

So, I`ve been there. It took them too long to reintroduce the thing, and since I have mild OCD, I simply HAD to fill in the blank space in my garage, so I got me some other car. Problem solved, no yelling, no fuss .Not the exact same thing, but I can`t be arsed to be pissed about missing pixels, unless there`s money involved. So, either it is a legitimate car, in which case you would be entitled to open a support ticket and ask for a refund of your money, or it isn`t a legitimate car, in which case it shouldn`t have been there to begin with . It`s a very simple issue.

I dont have the lost slamvan but i drive the other two because I love classic cars and they look nice. If Im just cruising with friends having fun, they are often driven.

You would have more of a point on this if you were referring to a legitimately obtained vehicle being taken away from you. You have no right to be pissed off if you glitched a f*cking semi into your garage and they didn't ever let you get one of them legitimately. Or a van, or whatever the hell vehicle it is. It should classify as a disappointment, not as a right to be pissed off because they are putting rules in their game.

If you're talking about the Lifeguard Blazer that spawns on the beaches, you have always been able to store them in your garage. You just could never put insurance on them or customize them at all.

The Lost Slamvan for instance was another prime example of how Rockstar deals with imposed restrictions once again. Yes, it had poor handling and no brakes, but it worked just fine as a mobile cover during shootouts on contact missions (way better than a chrome zentorno for sure), besides being the actual Slam"Van" that was expected to come eventually to GTA V.

 

It even was meant to be unlocked after completing "Series A Funding: Bikers" at some point.

 

What really bothers most users is porting a long demanded car from GTA IV just to be seen on a single mission, where you aren't even enforced to drive it at all.

 

Don't even bother asking R* why a four door armored Kuruma is OK to own and drive online while a two door armored sluggish muscle car is too powerful for online use.

And Stock Cars! What the hell is wrong with stock cars online?! And the Go Go Monkey Blista!

Ikr r* gives us much faster race cars at Christmas, but some liveried muscle cars r somehow gamebreaking. I own a dukes online so its not an exclusiveness issue.

Well, they're drivable, would be no harm to have them as personal vehicles, but for reasons, they don't let you store whatever you want in your garage.

I'd like to have the Police Van just for the lolz, but whatever. There will always be the trainer in the single player mode to have you covered.

I have a few thoughts on possibilities:

 

1. They plan to roll them out over time and if someone has them early somehow, a ton of whiny kids complain to R* that "no fair, they want one too" and R* would rather not get a thousand whiny emails from squeakers jealous of something like a van for the only reason that someone else has it and they don't.

 

2. For some reason, one or more of these vehicles cause a problem in the game. An update or two ago, you could store the "Mighty Bush" truck, but the problem is that it would change back to a normal truck when you jumped sessions. HOWEVER, before you jumped sessions, if you went to it in your garage, it would not stay in place and you can drive it around your garage. This probably still works.

 

3. R* no likey fun.

 

Or some combination of the above.

I love my kuruma in missions, but to be honest, this is the only game breaking car out there. It is like driving in godmode (in missions, not so much in freeroam). Heists make barely fun when using this vehicle all the time. Just sit in there for 90% of the missions and shoot everyone with the AP. Not even a single bit of armor is lost.

i have a rat loader, hotknife and normal slamvan, i usually play in invite only.. am i a attention hore?

 

but yes, i do agree that some people only keep some vehicles (in the past) cuz they were rare

 

if it is already drivable, isnt it more easy to make it available for all people rather them make it blacklisted, it seems R* already have to work on the problem at least work to make it available

Rockstar have a policy that if someone has something every other player can't get, they remove it.

 

Where they would be much better off making it easily available to everyone. That's one of the major errors of policy the company have and it runs all the way from burrito vans to slamvans to multi layer paints and Yankton plates. BANNED
