RedDagger
If you're on Steam, right click it in your Library>properties>Local Content>verify integrity of game cache. If you're not using Steam or it doesn't work, it seems the only thing you can do is delete the game files and download it again. It might do it automatically if you just try to download/install the game.
SmellsLikeTacos
Yea its not through steam.... Do you think i have to delete all the game files? And downloading again.... it took so long to do that.... i have 100/10 and my download speed should be around 12 mb/s but the downloader didt get me higher then 1mb/s Isnt there just a reinstall button somewhere? xD
RedDagger
I'm not too sure, it's worth looking around a bit to see if there is one. Otherwise yeah, you'll have to delete the files and download again I think. There could have also been some corruption with downloading the files. Xanthien
This is probably too late for OP to use this, but since this is on the first page of google search results for the issue I thought I'd respond to this. You can actually repair GTA V without Steam. There's an option to repair the game in the GTA V setup tool.

All you need to do is create a new shortcut on your desktop for GTALauncher and edit the target to be:"C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto V\PlayGTAV.exe" -verifyI am trying it right now, and i'll post if it helped at all. It did verify my files and started downloading a quite sizeable update.PS. I am using the disc version Spuds' GTA V 100% Checklist // My IV & Vice City Videos "I want to design a video game where you take care of all the people shot in all the other video games.... It's called Busy Hospital II" -- Demetri Martin RIP BDP

sebifastmr
Hello I get the corrupt game data message too and I already tried verifying it via adding the " -verify" ending in the launcher. It said it was verifying game data for some time but it didn't download or update anything, when the message "GTA 5 is now ready to play" showed up, I launched the game but the same error occurred. Is there another method to check the files? I was messing with some mods and then the game was updating when I launched it but wouldn't start.
