If this was built strictly for ps4/xone/pc, then it would have visually looked a lot better. Nonsensical expectations. Mind you, if I play the game on Deatmatch, or something that has a smaller amount of players in a small arena, things like particle effects get amped up (like leaves and dust blowing around). Or maybe I just notice it more. I'm moreso concerned by the lack of animals in online, or even just the hair and clothing meshes being completely static. CatoNator Posted April 15, 2015 Share Posted April 15, 2015 Come on, you should know that there's no way an open world game would have the same graphical fidelity as a scripted linear game. If it would have the same quality textures as BF4 or Crysis, you would complain about how the textures don't load in time or how your game lags like there's no end to it because it has to stop to load the textures in time. Think of how long it takes for BF4 to load all the textures. The minimum reqirement woild be an SSD, something not nearly all people have. Get a nice one and a display to match. Otherwise [spoiler tag here] your going to be playing something that looks remarkably like a console game, convinced the world is up its own ass for thinking there is anything noteworthy about the so-call definitive PC edition. I was shocked at "high" textures, and haven't even seen very high yet. Nah, it looks pretty much the same in all noticeable areas. Oh you've got more blades of grass and shinier, better looking rocks? Tell me more about how the seams and textures on clothing aren't still blurry and hair isn't static. But we can't play in "snapmatic mode". Show us a real ingame screenshots (not snapmatics)... . I was hoping for BF4 quality or better and its just sad anyone else things it looks horrible. BF4 quality is new gen. This game is last gen and it's a console port, so you would only expect a game that is retouched, this is something you could tell on the screen-shots before release. No snapmatic here, this a screenshot from in first person mode by pressing F12 in Steam. What you were seeing in that screenshot is what I was seeing in-game. I played it on my friends 1080p machine maxed out and it did not look great at all, there simply is not enough pixels to show all of the detail. Look at the detail in this wall texture, there's no way you're seeing anywhere close to all of it at 1080p, considering I had to get this close to see it all at 4k. The rest of the textures are the same. You won't get 4k textures at 1080p resolution, even if it's set to "very high". Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if you can't tell a difference between console and PC, it's because your hardware is insufficient, and yes, we're to the point now that 1080p hardware is not sufficient to see the graphical details games are now producing, and no amount of AA is going to fix it. 1080p is now outdated and obsolete, plain and simple. This game was made with 4k in mind and you will only see that difference on a 4k screen, plain and simple. The graphics are amazing and they absolutely demolish console graphics, there is no doubt about it if you have the hardware to see it. W_D was developed for CG and downscaled for LG and ACU is pure CG. so GTAV doesnt stand much chance. maybe ENBs can improve upon it but in the meantime it looks good enough. much better than GTAIV and better than saints row, for example. my opinion WD looks nice when its night and raining only, during the day it looks dull as f*ck and feels like LG title. GTA V is much better in detail, and in advance. I loled when you said AC Unity looking better it seems like you are another Ubisoft fanboy who came here claiming his own ''opinion''. Open your eyes and get over with the facts already, your WD looks nothing like on E3 2012 and it looks poor since final release. GTA V on LG was close to WD's version of PC visualy and in detail, untill PS4 and Xbox One version came and made WD sink in its grave.
