I am disappoint I knew it. I called it in another topic. This game will be 30 fps on anything below a 290x/i7 edit: Someone in another topic said that the game easily eats up 3.5gb when on 1080p. Terrible jags with fps drops while driving only. I am installing the new Beta driver now I've got similar specs but I'm using a GTX 970. I installed the new 'GTA V' driver this afternoon, I wonder if that'l make a difference. Still, from Rockstar's recommended spec's list this doesn't look good. Are you playing in 1080p or 4k? Sorry but it has to be said. Except that we were told 60 fps high settings with recommended specs Stop riding R*s dick Mirror work... Sort of, not really. it's a bit sh*tty. I maxed out the entire graphics options but using FXAA and it uses up 3.5GB~ at 1080p So warning for those 970 users. I'll upload screenshots to a new topic if you guys want but I'm playing the game atm. Using my Surface to reply on GTAF. Jesus christ. So was it confirmed that actually Rockstar told people a high end single gpu could do 4k at 30fps? and a high end sli setup to hit 60fps at 4k? No way that is the case if what you're saying is true. Ehh. The thing is, the were really sly with the settings. It's not low>medium>high etc. It's Normal>High>Very High>Ultra, so yeah "technically" they were right when they said a mid range card could do "high" @ 1080p60FPS, but in reality it would be a mix of low/med settings and no AA. Graphics maxed out is.. ehhh. Not much better than PS4. Nowhere near the jump from LG to NG. It's just slightly improved little bits and pieces. The most noticeable improvement is the vehicle density and variety. Unlike on NG where the trailers were BS, the traffic on PC is actually a really large variety with barely any duplicates. ------------------------------------------------------------------- posted that on another thread. Did you try high speed driving? Otherwise its perfect Yeah, it's stuttery @ 45FPS, I'm guessing V-Sync is forced on since it's stuck @ max refresh rate and is a stuttering mess once you go below 60FPS. I could probably go for my 1200MHz core + 1600MHz mem preset and aim for 50+FPS min since I'm only reaching about 70c at my current settings. r0llinlacs
Just sayin, back in my day, you only needed AA if you were running lower-than-native resolutions. I don't see why everybody thinks they need AA at native resolutions nowadays. AA is the single biggest performance hogging setting you could possibly turn on, and people complain when they don't get 60fps. Sorry, but turn off AA and you'll probably get 30 more fps... smh.
