RGSC installer issues

Got it to work. I suggest removing launcher and dll files in main dir, then running repair off the GTAV installer which is around 150 megs downloaded from social club website.

Where can I get that installer?

I got the disc version, but I keep getting this:

C5ptSzo.jpgOr sometimes even crashes

I'm getting this too. Typical crookstar, they delay the game for a year and STILL couldn't get enough server bandwodth. I'm throwing this piece of sh*t off the nearest bridge.

Another fail launch, reminds me of October 2013.

F*ck it all to hell.

:angry:why have a launcher like this? It's a nightmare in combination with rockstar's random Servers.

I hope they can fix things soon. I knew that Launch day would be terrible for a lot of People.

I got it to download finally. I've played the game

THE TRICK to get this sh*t to work is press CANCEL in the launcher every time you see your speed start dropping down rapidly. Then restart the launcher and it will proceed to download with max speed.

Still crashing, for what it's worth without internet connection the launchers doesn't crash so it seems to be as it tries to connect or connects to Rockstar that it crashes?????

The Social club servers are flooding. Too many are trying to install at once. There's already almost 00,000 people playing on the Steam version alone. And there's a lot more from the people who pre-ordered from the Warehouse.

Please bear with us.

So are the launcher crashes as a result of server overload or a bug in the launcher??? - not a problem and fully understand if it just the demand on the servers just want confirmation that it's not buggy software - thanks

It's after that first 57mb (whatever the size is) it downloads that, installs it then says Loading and it crashes . . . . gonna try the graphic card suggestion . . . .

That's done it!!!! now doing a 353mb patch sweet - thanks for the help!!!

Nvidia now picked up that I'm running the games and downloading a GTA5 ready graphic driver . . . .

Believe it or not, I just got the game to finally launch (after it kept giving me Social Club stopped working error) by disabling my video card in device manager, then launching the game.. after the Social Club thing goes away I enabled it right away and the game launched.

Pretty risky but it should work fine for those that have Windows 8 and above, plus 2 or more devices under display.

Literally in the loading screen right now.

Yep it's the graphic cards causing the launcher crash - GeForce GTX770M with the Nvidia "GeForce Games Ready Driver for Grand Theft Auto V" driver is crashing the launcher - can start the game by disabling the graphic card and running off the motherboard card - gotta see the funny side of this!! ;-)

Why couldn't Rockstar create an alternate download for the patch, instead of trusting their own sh*tty servers? Oh well, hopefully the patch will appear on torrent sites so I don't have to use the sh*tty Rockstar servers.

Try this:

Go to your main GTA V directory and remove DLLs and GTAV launchers(executables). Then download GTAV for PC installer from Social Club (which is around 150 MB), run it and click Repair. After it completes, run the GTAV launcher from desktop with administrative privileges and wait until update finishes.

Hope this helps.

Thanks mate, tried that it seems to be the GeForce driver on my rig. Disable it and it loads ok - as someones suggested above, as it finishes loading on the Social Club launcher I can enable the card which seem to work but then getting it to run at a decent resolution and full screen is very buggy - Gonna get it to a point where I can play it, I've logged it with RS tech support, guess it'll be fixed in a while either by a RS patch or by Nvidia???

so i far as i know here is the problems that i fixed :

-gta 5 luncher won't start > disable your nvidia geforce device in device manager ( you can enable it after the launch )

- social club is launched but keeps loading ( like http://gyazo.com/7983f29172f3dfbcba6d5d655682f753) > execute gta 5 launcher as administrator

right now im loading the patch at 20 ko/sec

glad if it helps
