Fix for the Clunky Interaction Menu

so doing heists for a month now it has really become apparent how clunky the inventory system is regarding health snacks and armor. When in a heist firefight you gotta clear enemies so you can hunker down and fiddle with the menu for a minute to just get some damn armor or snacks. In this time you can get caught off guard and killed so why isnt there a better way?

I think it would be handy to quick assign the left and right d pad options for armor and snacks. Like pressing left auto puts on another armor and right eats the snack you assign to that button

Thoughts?

Yeah, I agree they should shorten the amount of steps it takes to reach the snacks and armor. Like put them in their own categories right below GPS. Also, I think that the armor selection should only show the armors you currently own. Why does it show every armor type-0, seems like a waste of menu space.

Button capacity m8.

With a Keyboard this problem doesn't exist

oh a pc master racer huh? Left and right d pad dont do anything currently while on foot unless you are holding left bumper for the weapon wheel so with the weapon wheel closed why can left and right not have another action

It seems like your brain capacity is even less. Did you even stop to think that not all the buttons are being used as stated?

Pressing left or right on the D pad would be too convenient and may be triggered unintentionally at times.

I wouldn't mind holding L1 and pressing the right joystick for armor and left joystick for health.

Indeed, way too cluttered, not the best functionality and a lot of options available. A shortcut would make sense for those options

If you weren't too busy giving everyone the finger/air thrusting/jerking off, you'd know that you can assign "eat snack" to your action button. Meaning that when you press down on both sticks, you eat a snack.

Edit: You can also unlock the buttons for assigning after you buy your first cash card!

Why there is even so many types of armor? Super light armor, light armor, standard armor... I mean wtf? It's not like I'm willing to buy 2 of each type, I'll buy 10 of the best one and still die from 3 bullets from the god-like NPC guns

It's a shame you can't assign armour to that one instead - would find that more useful during missions (snacks would be more useful during free roam, in my opinion).

I have no idea other than different looking armor for pictures. They should just eliminate all of them except super heavy. If there is no penalty to use super heavy why would anyone ise the others for convat purposes?

Tried using that some time ago, pressing both buttons while aiming or in cover doesn't do jack sh*t!

I like the looks of the standard armor, looks good under a suit. But yeah, 6 different types of armor is a waste.

Additionally, those armors and snacks option in the menu should have made their way into singleplayer a lot of time ago!

They could double up the weapon wheel like Saints Row, where you hold down RB and then use Left Thumbstick to select a weapon and Right Thumbstick or D-Pad to select Amour, Snacks etc...

Up button would be perfect for snack button. And of course, without animation needed.

Dirty Hairy

A prompt to eat snacks or refill armor should automatically pop up when either your health or armor is near depletion. "Press right on dpad to equip x". Kinda like the rebreather in humane labs.

The perfect solution would be options for us to set buttons to certain actions ourselves. Left and right on the d-pad do have actions that people may or may not use. Surely a "one size fits all" solution would be of detriment to some players. Let us choose.

Soran Is On

I honestly thought eating snacks while in cover or aiming was a glitch and would be patched out, now they recommend it in the loading screens. Why not just go full retard and give us a medkit button, or a damn master chief style shield already.

I don't like the fact that they give us shortcuts for health because the AI is so damn ridiculous. (shooting through walls with xray vision in particular)

What I really wish they'd fix is not being able to bring up the interaction menu at all randomly in helicopters

R* should increase the damage heavy armor can take, go in SP and heavy armor is stronger, why is that? I'll say it again armor is Swiss Cheese!

You have to leave it open, and forego the handbrake and accept any other limitations it may impose on gameplay

notably in the go get my casco setup mission, delivering it back you get shot to hell by the trailing vehicles. But if you shoot back you get a wanted level and have to lose it before you can complete the objective. spam Ps and Qs when you see red
