How to add actors to Jets?

I've searched everywhere (including http://gtaforums.com/topic/753663-content-creator-guide-index/and its sub threads) looking to figure out how to put actors inside of a jet and make them fly. From my understanding I need to put the actor in the plane (done) after placing it in the air (planes on the ground wont take off). Everywhere that mentions this trick either-

 

a. has outdated information (ie helis only)

b. says something like "do the switch glitch or stack glitch" which is extremely vauge.

c. is a video showing how the glitch works on an active map, but not how to do it yourself

 

I have found exactly 0 posts or videos showing how to do this with any vehicle, and after almost an hour of trying I was only able replicate what I saw for spawn points and weapons with a basic car. Is there a specific kind of platform I should be using? I assumed that the Large Closed Container was the biggest and I was able to put a car on a single LCC after much effort, but no luck with any planes. I tried stacking 3 LCCs together to form a nice even platform to put the jet on (the platforms werent perfectly aligned, but they were damn close) but still no luck after a frustraing 45-60 minutes.

 

So what am I doing wrong?

 

 

 

(for reference, I'm interested in having NPCs fly Lazers, Besras, Buzzards, Valkyries, Hyrdas, anything with a weapon)

1. I only know that actors fly planes on ps4.

2. just place objects to make a platform. once u have flat surface to place plane and place the plane delete the objects.

3. place the actor in the vehicle go with the black ops 2 actor it always works for me.

4. set movement area to anything but stationary.

 

Done.

if yall are still on last gen u need to move on. your missing out...badly.

I'm on X1, and yes I understand the steps as I laid them out in my OP. My issue was with how to put a vehicle on top of an objects, its clearly not as simple as point and click.

 

If its unknown if it works on X1 or not I'll gladly test it and share my results. All I need is to learn how to put the plane on top of my floating LLC (or other object if that's what I should be using)

ok. first place vehicle on ground. then pick it up. once you have picked it up for a second time you can now place it on your object.

Seems to work ok, having some issues getting the AI jets to not crash all the time, and working out their flight "trigger" in my job.

set all the pilots to hostile and let them see players.

Can they be hostile to one team and friendly to another?

 

Right now I have team 1 spawn inside the team 2 "base" behind a fence (like a jail). Team 2 has their friendly AI jets above their base, and a pair of Combat MG wielding AIs that that instantly kill team 1s players in the jail, then spawning them at their own base normally after.

 

I thought that was a pretty good work around to having players spawning over and over underneath hostile jets, but it seems wildly inconsistent. Also its hard to test since you cant die in the creator, and that's necessary to actually start the map
