happygrowls Posted April 13, 2015 Share Posted April 13, 2015 The Rockstar Editor, a powerful tool for creating clips and short films. However, it is exclusive to the PC. My problem with this is I don't have enough money for a decent PC, and film-making is one of my hobbies. To not be able to use it saddens me. But for the next GTA yes I'd like to see a similar version for consoles. I don't see what would be so difficult in doing so. There could be multiple reasons why it isn't on the XB1/PS4 versions. All I know is I wouldn't have minded waiting until tomorrow to play the PS4 version if it meant we would get the editor too. Placing props and setting up scenes and especially editing multiple video clips is definately easier with a keyboard and mouse than a controller. There may also be hardware limitations, PCs generally have more memory and storage space availiable than consoles. Honestly though I doubt I'm going to use it much, I can see how some people could loose hours in it though. RyanBurnsRed Posted April 13, 2015 Share Posted April 13, 2015 I'd imagine one of the reasons Rockstar makes these features PC exclusive is to give them an incentive to purchase the game again, especially considering GTA V has the longest gap in release dates between the consoles and PC in the entire series. What's stopping them from giving consoles some of these features after they've made their money on PC? I don't know....I don't work at Rockstar Games. (Besides giving folks yet another reason to buy the game again.) No offense, but most of the people who voted no are simply greedy PC fanboys with the childish mindset of "It's mine! you can't have it! lalalala". Speaking of SHAREfactory wouldn't mind seeing a GTA theme pack for it. Anyway it's possible on consoles, only potential issue is the live recording of gameplay, would a game that uses system resources to the limit be able to cope with this? Probably.
