boetagoon
same problem.. Reinstalling RS Social club didn't help ffs. Didn't they learn from that Games from Windows crap? So disappointed atm. Got mine working now !!! Did the following Start Menu > Documents > Rockstar Games > Social Club > Profiles There was a folder in Profiles named 2547AC96. I deleted this folder. Made sure there was any active GTAVLauncher.exe in task manager. Restarted with Steam and it let me activate the game. No idea if this will work for others but good luck

Knorac
I have found this, maybe helps someone Infinite loading on Rockstar Social Club Rockstar's advice: "If you are stuck loading, auto-signin may have failed. Press the Home key and see if you can log in manually." If that doesn't fix it it seems that Social Club is struggling with launch demand. Repeated tries can get you in, but it's not likely to ease off until the demand reduces or Rockstar bolsters the system.
Uktranghyr
I think you probably have special characters in your windows account profile (like @& è ù etc..) It happened to me. I found two solutions : The R* one is the simplier but just felt terrible to me is to create another account then try and download the game from this newly created account (containing not a single special character of course..) The second one is to make a junction between your current MyDocuments file to another one with question marks (?) instead of accents. I'll try and translate the original post from "elkahiman" on "jeuxvidéo.com" : -If you already tried to install the game, move the Rockstar Games folders from c:\users\yourNameWith?InsteadOfAccents into the right profile and delete the repertory with "?" in it. -Windows + R then enter "cmd" then click OK. -Once you're in the DOS window (black one with white text for beginners), type (be sure to put your profile name after users\ ): mklink /j c:\users\[email protected]@[email protected] c:\users\profileWithSpeci?lCh?r?cters -Then, restart the launcher It seems I have some save issues after that manipulation though, but since I only want to play Online at the moment, I don't really care.. Hope it will help some of you guys And please excuse me for my English
streken
I don't know if this helps, but you might try this: 1. close steam and make sure no gta executables are running (playgta.exe or gtalauncher.exe etc) 2. relocate your "documents" folder, usually C:/users/"yourusername"/Documents, to another disk or just straight to your C drive. 3. delete the containing your social club folder that is located in the "/Documents/Rockstar Games/Social Club/Profiles" folder. (it is named some random numbers and letters) PS. Not sure if this step is actually necessary! 4. Start steam and launche GTA V. It worked for me, and i hope it will work for you Happy gaming ^^

iAmNotShock
Alright, I got it working (nonsteam 64 bit version) by creating a second Windows account without any specific language letters (like å, ą, ǫ̈) and then launching the game with admin rights on this new account. Just after doing so I got a 5gbs update (55 gbs outta 60 installed) which might be caused by this. I hope it works for at least some of you. Knorac
I have finally solved it, my friend from Croatia helpd mi with this... Here is solution on croatian language use google translator. i will translate it later prvo napravis novi folder bilo gdje na racunalu i nazoves ga tako da u nazivu nema nikakvih posebnih znakova.. ja sam ga stavio pod C:/Users/ ..u tom folderu napravis jos jedan folder imena DOCUMENTS ili My Documents (zavisi koji windows koristis).. zatim sve dokumente iz foldera Documents - odmah pod my computer(ili My documents na Win 7) (gdje ti se nalaze save game i my games itd.) kopiras u taj novi folder koji si napravio (DOCUMENTS) (napravi to za svaki slucaj mada ce te u sljedecem koraku pitati da kopiras takoder pa samo opet potvrdi...) zatim ides desni klik na originalni folder Documents (ne onaj kojeg si dodatno napravio) i PROPERTIES..pod properties odabares karticu location..tamo pritisnes FIND TARGET i pronades taj novi folder kojeg si napravio i odaberes ga... zatim stisnes MOVE...sljedeci korak je da odes sad do tog novog foldera DOCUMENTS i na njega takoder desni klik i properties..odaberes karticu SECURITY i ides dolje na EDIT i omogucis FULL CONTROL I MODIFY..spremis... pod istim postavkama odes na karticu CUSTOMIZE i u padajucem izborniku izaberes DOCUMENTS I kliknes na ono ispod ALSO APPLY THIS TEMPLATE..primjenis postavke i spremis... taj novi folder ce ti sad sluziti kao My Documents iliga DOCUMENTS folder, u njega se uglavnom spremaju save-ovi i postavke itd...sa starijim save-ovima koji se tamo spremaju neces imati problema jer igre koje vec imas instalirane ce takoder sad iz tog novog foldera citati save-ove...nadam se da je malo jasnije sad napisano i da ces se snaci.. RosmanPL
Ok i had this "loading" problem too but i found solution. Make sure you have Service Pack 1 instaled on windows 7. Start > Computer (right mouse button) > properties If you dont have SP1 you can download it here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5842
RickyT23
I had manually set my pagefile to be 6GB. Setting Window's page file setting back to default fixed my infinite loading on GTA V PC, I have 4GB of RAM and 6GB of VRAM. And Windows 7 64.Basically I followed this to step 5 and made sure that the box IS ticked.http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/change-virtual-memory-size#1TC=windows-
Bram Skull
I just had this or a similar problem. I say similar because if I let it sit for a few minutes it would tell me Rockstar servers may be down and give me a link to check status, or something like that anyway. I ended up just deleting "autosignin.dat" from C:\Users\Your user name\Documents\Rockstar Games\Social Club\Profiles. This is basically the same as pressing the Home key to login manually but pressing the Home key did nothing at all on my computer, it just kept telling me loading. omori
Just bought the game from Steam finally and this is what I get.. Infinite loading so much fun... So I've tried deleting everything from the documents folder. and also from the Local/GTA-V I do have a special character in my windows username though, could it be that? Also seems I don't have SP1. what I've tried: Open as administrator. "If your username contains non-english characters, then first create an empty folder wherever you want (for example: D:/NEWFOLDER). Then, right click on your "C:/Users/USERNAME/documents" folder, select "properties", and change its location to the new folder that you just created. The computer will then ask if you want to move all thork."e files, say yes. After that, try run the game and it should w Reinstalling social club EEEEDIT: THANK GOD IT'S FIXED!! YAAAAAAAAAAAS!
