Most people forgot their anger and their frustration with the whole delay thing. Especially after Rockstar confirmed the date and preloads began, people - understandingly - are more hyped than ever. Of course I am hyped, too, but when I was looking at the trailers again today I wondered: "So many people get so hyped and will play tomorrow, won't there be any problems (at least in Online)?" Do you think the servers can handle the rush tomorrow? Do you think the game will be playable? Mr. Legoman Posted April 13, 2015 Share Posted April 13, 2015 From my experience with the preload, i got a decent speed and downloaded without problems. So i dont think so actually. I hope Rockstar by now knows how much their game will have in effect, by viewing their preorders and just by that, knowing how many people have the game now and are ready to play. oaoso Posted April 13, 2015 Share Posted April 13, 2015 I wont be surprised if there are issues with online servers. There will be growing pains in respect to those probably. There will be individual cases of problems ("Runs crap for me!" etc), but those are typically because people are dumb or have specific issues that can't be applied to all. Was working fine last night. Haven't tried to transfer from ps3 yet because I figured it'd be a bad idea in the first few days. Every other major release including the initial last gen GTA Online launch, the current gen launch, and the heists launch all caused server problems, and the same will be true with PC. Kinvarus Posted April 13, 2015 Share Posted April 13, 2015 I wouldn't be surprised if Online has a few issues but I would be if Single Player did, given the almost 4 month delay in release, they don't really have any excuse for that to be buggy, Online can always be a server issue that they don't forsee. McDodge34 Posted April 13, 2015 Share Posted April 13, 2015 I'm mostly worried about activation servers going down and causing massive problems, especially for the ones with the Steam version that will have to decrypt the files first (around 30-40 minutes job) before being finally able to install the game, so the ones with a Rockstar warehouse version won't have to do this and will clog up the activation servers well before we have any chance to try it.
