I like the part where Fisk is manipulating Daredevil's new approach into painting him (Murdock) as anti-hero. I'm excited to see what this season has to offer. Hopefully it'll be more fast paced than the last season(s). Shadowfennekin Posted October 13, 2018 Share Posted October 13, 2018 Iron Fist got cancelled Really disappointing, I honestly didn't leave Jessica and Luke's seasons thinking "Boy I can't wait for the next season!". Iron Fist left me wanting more and really given the character was on a journey of self discovery(And lacks a certain something) it's quite insulting his show got canned. If Jessica or Luke ended where they did I'd honestly just nod and accept it, even Punisher and I love that show! I'm really gonna miss Danny, Ward, and Colleen. Joy can go suck an egg, she started off cool and I despised Ward but those roles quickly changed within the first season. Ward ended up my favorite supporting character over all the Netflix show's Davos was a pretty sh*tty villain but Jessica's mother was far worse! Hopefully they give Jessica an actual villain in her upcoming season, I was dragging myself as the whole Hogarth plot(Minus Turk Barret's appearance) was boring and I couldn't give a damn about Jessica's mother and how quickly Jessica forgave her for killing her boyfriend.... It is weird though, I thought Luke Cage was doing really well but apparently it came down to "creative differences". I think if they were going to combine the two shows into one they would have cancelled them together and made the "Heroes for Hire" announcement at the same time but I'm still holding out hope for some kind of teaser at the end of Daredevil or spmething. And Luke getting cancelled was honestly expected. It was REALLY suspicious how Jessica got renewed within a month of season 2 while Luke was waiting until now to get word of it. Almost a week after Iron Fist, it's like they were waiting to see how Iron Fist performed before canning both shows. Heroes for Hire definitely seems to be the next step; The two actors had chemistry, the team up episode was the best Luke Cage episode overall! And the two of them really have the weakest supporting cast of the shows; Ward, Colleen, Misty, and Shades being the only characters of note. Well besides Mariah but you know.... yeah. Bushmaster is cool too but I don't see him coming back, I actually rather liked that he wasn't killed or incarcerated..... he just left the country lmao Combining their casts could do great things! Unless Daredevil and Punisher get canned there's no truth to the 'Disney cleaning house' theory going about. I think it comes down to Disney wanting these shows for their streaming service when it is released. Netflix being the competition for that, releases a statement saying they are canceling it to sort of preemptively give it bad press. At least that’s what I hope. I have a feeling that this season will be a lot better than S2. I liked the season a lot but felt the last episode with Fisk going back to prison felt too similar to the ending of season one. I would have preferred a darker ending where Fisk got away with everything and Matt just accepting he has to live in a New York where Wilson Fisk reigns as the Kingpin of crime. Nadeem and Poindexter were great additions to the cast. And I love how easy they make it to hate Fisk, he's such a great villain. Well by the end of Punisher season one, Frank had been given a free pass by the government and probably didn't want to blow it by assassinating a high profile figure like Fisk. That, and it wouldn't make for good TV. It kinda makes sense, but then we would lose the central conflict of the season. Creed Bratton Posted November 1, 2018 Share Posted November 1, 2018 Finally got around to watching the third season of Daredevil. It was pretty much an extension of the first one. But that's a good thing. Although it didn't have the same wow factor as the first or second season. But that's mainly because it wasn't trying to do anything new, other than introduce Dex. It is still a phenomenal season. They stuck to what worked in season 1, expanded on it in a logical manner and they even got rid of his ugly Daredevil suit.
