cosmicdance Posted April 13, 2015 Share Posted April 13, 2015 It really is shocking the download speed - I took 4 days to get the full files through this Rockstar downloader. Once you have downloaded around 3 GB you can try either pausing the download then starting again, which worked best for me. Also right clicking your GTA V desktop icon and running as administrator from the menu helps. If you are still having problems with a slow download speed then pause the downloader, go into your GTA V folder and delete the file called .part It will probably show up as 1KB on the list as mine always did. However be warned with this method of deleting you might get knocked back a couple of GB on your download progress but it does start it off downloading fast again. I deleted my .part file around 10 times altogether and eventually downloaded the full 60 GB which it then verified successfully so it doesn't do any harm. Strange, i downloaded the preload via torrent, got 6mb/s and finished it in 2-3 hours. Got the file @ cjs-cdkeys.com Note: this is just the normal preload, no crack or anything. The launcher wont go above 20-30 kbps for me... if you are afraid to use torrent or don't have any friend that can put the game files on a portable HD and bring then for you,then my friend i am afraid to tell you but as the game get released the speed should be lower,and most likely servers wont handle the traffic and will go down. Seriously though, get a crc checker,get it to draw SHA256 CRC and compare with those http://pastebin.com/y18HrFukas long as you got some time left, I guess forums will explode with "MY GAME WON'T START !" or "I HAVE TO REDOWNLOAD HALF OF THE GAME !" because they did same thing as you. NK94 Posted April 15, 2015 Share Posted April 15, 2015 The rockstar downloader was downloading at about 100kbps for meI've had it running since sunday and its not doneI was browsing around rockstars support forums and came across a solution that has worked for me and several others http://www.mediafire.com/view/6xyvyi73bkbkktu/Links_GTAV.txt That link takes you to a txt file with a list of URL's for gameplanets download of the GTA unpacked filesDownload the list using a download manager to a drive where you do NOT plan to install the game and once all downloads are complete run the exe I'm downloading at a steady 7-8Mbps now Hope this helps!!!
