sjaak327
thank gabe there is steam. rather download than all those discs. And pay over 15 bucks extra for the privilege ? No thanks. By the way, this game actually allows retail users to still download it from Rockstar, a true win-win situation. Not having to pay 60 bucks for the game AND the ability to leave the discs into the package and simply download from R. RedIndianRobin

I think you can get it even cheaper on nuuvem if you don't mind using a VPN to activate it. And pay over 15 bucks extra for the privilege ? What do you mean? Alpha Demigod
I have it on Steam, but later on, if I find a cheap retail copy, I might buy it to keep and leave it unopened. It will be a Collectors Item.... Precisely this. I'm not sure whether I should get GTAV and Witcher 3 as a steam game or a retail copy. I play all games that are just passing fun digitally. But games that are epics, that offer me a true and bracing adventure...I feel they deserve to exist in a higher form. Like an actual physical box I can actually hold in my hand and admire when it sits on my shelf. At the same time, though, I like the convenience of owning a game on Steam. It's forver preserved on Valve's base and years from now if you want to play it all you have to do is click "install". No noisy optical drive usage, no discs, no downloading installers. Just a one-button press. I'm conflicted. But I'll probably do the same thing as you. Go digital for now, and retail later on. I just don't like how we can't have both. Why can't I buy the retail one and activate it on Steam? Two different companies, I know. But still, it's annoying. Or...how about buying a box. Just an empty box with no discs inside but it still has the map and all that. Edited April 13, 2015 by Dark Bordeus

Nah,steam always sell games cheaper for brazil than other places, just check any SteamDB game and go under Prices GTA V is listed $59 Dollars for americans that would equal 180 Reais But instead we pay $32 Dollars wich is 99 Reais,do you really think someone would be 180 Reais for a PC game here? hell no. With this game you can actually have the same convenience as once you enter the activation code into social club, the game is tied to your account and you actually don't have to use any of those 7 discs if you don't want to, as you can download the game from Rockstar. Coupled with the cheaper price, it's really a no brainer. The only downside would be that it won't show up on your steam library. To me personally that's actually a pro, not fond of the steam client myself. Edited April 13, 2015 by sjaak327

To me personally that's actually a pro, not found of the steam client myself. To be honest, I know what you mean. I don't worship Steam and Gabe Newell and all that "masterrace steam" crap. But the thing is, I hate having mutliple digital launchers to store my games. Steam, Origin, RGSC, Uplay, GFWL, and all this crap. It's just so annoying wanting to play a game and thinking "oh sh*t, where did I install that game again"? and then having to shift through a bunch of launchers. That's why I keep it centralized on Steam, it makes it much easier to manage. I own Skyrim, Witcher 1, Witcher 2, and all other "true epic" games on there. So I'd like to maintain the consistency. LillyOfTheValley
I get it. I gamed on console most my life - getting a new game in a fresh box was nice. Until I amassed a huge collection and all those physical box just got in the way. But if you only buy physical for special games, I get the appeal.
